  1. Very nice car must i say! Very impressed, would you be intrested in making another 3 gauge center console?

  2. Matt what you doing with your old inlet manifold?

Oh and how much was the braces??

Thanks, have a go at making one yourself it's fairly easy. Look on eBay for universal 3 gauge holder and fibreglass kit and filler from halfords
Probley be selling it, braces were about £200 delivered for both

  4. I need to get seriously stuck into mine.

    I just put things off.

This is a cracker though chap.

  5. Saw your car yesterday Jacob at marks

  6. Looks a proper shitter doesn't it.:worried:

Get the r26 box dropped in soon along with hybrid turbo

  7. What's the benefit of the strut brace stiffer front end? Does that not give you more understeer?

    Who supplied the braces, Matt?

fitted the inlet manifold and top engine mount bracket. tried to do the cam cover but couldn't get to the lower bolts, so that can wait till the cambelt needs doing

fitting the inlet was actually easy, the inlet ports arnt like a clio where they are machined the megane are just cast aluminium finish

fitted the lower brace this afternoon and also a new rear exhaust mount

might be a placebo effect but it feels stiffer than before to me anyway

the badges, i smoothed them down, then went over with primer then sprayed them UR. i got a couple of decals made the same size of the original writing put then on the red. then i went over with the grey.
peeled the decals off then lacquered them

the lower brace or the top one?

    18mm socket
    16mm socket

started with the front two 18mm bolts that go in the subframe then the back four 16mm. bit worrying when your laying underneath and undoing the rear 4 bolts and the subframe starts moving, but its fine.

    remove the old one

start by doing up the 4 bolts at the back then the front 2

    took about 20 mins

  15. Matt did you buy a new scuttle panel?

I keep reading through this. It's brilliant.

You should retrim the parts you have taken off and sell them - could even offer to fit now you know how to do it - could make a good few quid there!
I'd love to have it done!

  36. Have you got a link for the material please mate?
