225 Broken pipe on engine, Boost leak?

  1. So there is a broken pipe in my engine bay and I am not sure what it's for, it looks like it is connected to the pipe just before my throttle. Could it be causing a boost leak?

  2. I broke mine but at the other end a few weeks back it was £48 from Renault. People usually brake it at the throttle end but you have to replace the whole pipe.
Mine ran like crap until I got the bit from Renault

  3. Yes, that links to the N75 boost solenoid.

As said, you can't just buy that bit. You have to buy the whole section all the way from the throttle body.

  4. No it's not, its the carbon breather thing for the petrol tank by the looks of it.

  5. It won't cause a boost leak because there is a one way valve on the other bit from the inlet manifold to stop air escaping under boost.

I would just repair it with a silicone hose and a new one way valve so your not venting fumes into the engine bay.

  6. Pinkie I've just found the pipe and valve I cut from mine and just noticed your a bit far away to collect it.
If you want it cover the postage and I'll send it to you. I'll even add some black silicone hose for you.[IMG]

  7. I don't have a lot of cash the splash at the moment but thanks for the offer, I'm going to try and fix it myself, I have heaps of stuff to try, but it's been broken like that for at least 6 months.

  8. Just block it up on both ends. As you can see I removed mine as I didn't want anything going into my turbo but clean air.
