have never driven anything like it, point it the direction you want to go and no matter what speed etc it will go without moving, rolling etc
first thing will be to get my plate transfered over then the golf will be up for sale
    standard old vs new

The quickest lap I did was a 9.09 with a bike accident and a recovery truck. I was there or there abouts that time a few times, I reckon with a clean lap id crack 9 minutes but the dream lap never happened unfortunately
fitted this along with my modified air box I forgot I had, should help the car breath a little better

had the red wheels refurb'd just before a show at the weekend

    Absolutely stunning, top marks mate!

Im in manchester, if your ever free and fancy a run out with a knackered old PH1 let me know

  8. Looks lovely that  One thing though... can you explain the 'slut' graphic in the last few track photos?!

  10. Magnificent car it's a pity we don't have any here in Australia.

    Lovely, Best colour for them!

  12. I will do mate, im not over that way in it often to be honest although im wanting to head over that way for a track day at oulton

while I was queing to go on track I asked a mate to tape up my plates, he continued to mess around, I thought he'd wrote v-tec or something along those lines, i'll check before I go out next time as to what gets put on the car lol

    cheers

I want to try and keep the car looking as stock as possible, the only things id consider outside is more carbon, i.e door pillars and bullets etc

    cheers, I love the colour

it splits quite a few peoples opinions too though

  17. yeah it is the cazan setup

  18. Looking good, you'll have to give us your verdict once they have bedded in.

  19. Looks Awesome bud! Really wish we got these in South Africa :worried:

  20. I can get a shipping quote for you.

  21. Lol i'll keep that in mind thanks

  22. I've just fallen in lust what a fantastic car love the colour just perfect for ME

  23. what would you recommend for bedding them in properly?

  24. Drive like Angel for a bit?????

  25. Copied from a site I use......

    1. From 60mph, gently apply the brakes a couple of times to bring them up to operating temperature. This prevents you from thermally shocking the rotors and pads in the next steps.

    2. Make eight to ten near-stops from 60mph to about 10-15 mph. Do it HARD by pressing the brakes firmly, but do not lock the wheels or engage ABS. At the end of each slowdown, immediately accelerate back to 60mph and then apply the brakes again. DO NOT COME TO A COMPLETE STOP! If you stop completely and sit with your foot on the brake pedal, you will imprint pad material onto the hot rotors, which could lead to vibration and uneven braking.

    3. The brakes may begin to fade after the 7th or 8th near-stop. This fade will stabilize, but not completely go away until the brakes have fully cooled. A strong smell from the brakes, and even some smoke, is normal.

    4. After the last near-stop, accelerate back up to speed and cruise for a while, using the brakes as little as possible. The brakes need only a few minutes to cool down. Try not to become trapped in traffic or come to a complete stop while the brakes are still very hot.

    5. If full race pads, such as CL RC6's or Performance Friction PFC01 are being used, add four near-stops from 80 to 10 mph.

After the break-in cycle, there should be a slight blue tint and a light gray film on the rotor face. The blue tint tells you the rotor has reached break-in temperature and the gray film is pad material starting to transfer onto the rotor face. This is what you are looking for. The best braking occurs when there is an even layer of of pad material deposited across the rotors. This minimizes squealing, increases braking torque, and maximizes pad and rotor life.

After the first break in cycle shown above, the brakes may still not be fully broken in. A second bed-in cycle, AFTER the brakes have cooled down fully from the first cycle, may be necessary before the brakes really start to perform well. This is especially true if you have installed new pads on old rotors, since the pads need time to conform to the old rotor wear patter. If you've just installed a big brake kit, the pedal travel may not feel as firm as you expected. After the second cycle, the pedal will become noticeably firmer. If necessary, bleed the brakes to improve pedal firmness.

  28. Nice car would love those brakes

  29. cheers

Washed the car for the first time since the detail and it was a pleasure to wash and im sure you'll agree it looks cracking

however, I did notice that there is a patch on the bonnet that's getting affected by the heat even though I have the gold reflective tape underneath

  30. Looks epic. What size is the reflective sticker?

  31. went to the VW Unphased car show on Sunday in Preston,

was a very good show for their first show

  32. The R26R definitely looks the best of the bunch...

  33. Great car in the best colour, absolutely love it! I know it's wrong to call folks cars but there's something stupid and sillly about 20 yr old VW's with over sized wheels, low suspension, stretched tyres, comic covered roof lining and a smurf hanging from the rear tow hook! It must be my age but I can't help but laugh when I see some kid with a gnome hat driving along in one. Always looks like they are driving from the back seat too! I just cannot get it!

  34. cheers, most of the people their wouldn't agree, purely on the arch gap lol

they love them low and slow in the VW world

haha I have to agree also, the amount of money in some of those cars is crazy though, the price of some of the wheels alone could make you fall off your chair
