R26 - Engine is out so what do I do?

  1. It needs a new turbo. I'm thinking cam belt, R26.R clutch, maybe uprate the turbo, full service. Anything else?

  3. You'll need flywheel too for the clutch. Your looking at around 2kwith new stuff.
     
  4. Not very, but I am thinking if stuff needs doing it should work out cheaper in the long run. Found somewhere that will recondition my turbo for £300, I am speaking to them today with a view to possibly uprating it and then taking it over to Paul for mapping. Is an R26.R clutch worth doing? Or should I just hope the DMF isn't worn and put a new clutch in?

    All the work is budget dependent.

    if you fit a larger turbo you will need a SMF and clutch kit to cope with the extra power.
     
  6. I have a brand new R26.R clutch and RStuning SMF for sale still in the box. Give me a shout if your interested.
