As above, manage to wrangle a group buy from SAS Custom autos on eBay. 160 quid delivered. Need to get 10 or more. Please let me know if your interested. Thanks Boardy The link http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=321658404548&globalID=EBAY-GB
Did you pay the listed price mate? Can get them any cheaper than 160, RS were not interested and want 200 a set.
I'm in. Do you think RST will mind if they get a load of people rocking up with cheap injectors for fitting and a map?
Yes I think it was £195 and all sets flow matched. I did ask that before I brought them. Rstuning loss then isn't it.
Fit them yourself when you get there. I fitted a set to Richmegs car when it was on their rollers, only takes 10 mins and Iirc rs wanted something ridiculous to fit them. They didn't look happy about it come to think about it. Wonder if this had something to do with my phantom clutch slip which has only happened (allegedly) on their rollers. Never before and never since.
Ha ha as James said easy enough to fit, and only takes 10 mins, if anybody else is there on the 20th of July and wants them doing I would be more than happy to chuck them in. Or lives close by!
These are good injectors, and they are flow matched within 1% Rs tuning told me they was cheap for a reason. I'm not stupid.
They fitted and mapped mine mate. No problems said to be fair. I just had to wait four hours for Paul to turn up.
I told RS that I was in for a map on the 20th and how much would it be 630s they said 200 and we will fit them for you! Asked them about a group buy on injectors and they were not interested?!
Don't forget Paul has just finished a big group buy on remaps on here, so if he says no now it probably isn't a big surprise!
Lee the groupbuy master! might be tempted, although it seems they can be had pretty cheap from int. Ebay sellers too. lot less hassle to buy them in the UK though! i'll give this a think over as i'm not sure on my setup yet
Ha ha maybe I should change jobs and go into procurement! The is no rush on this one mate, just said I will let them know if we get enough interest. I have emailed I few other people and this is the best price I can get at the mo, still waiting for a few other replies.
I was going to order some from America but decided in the end it wasn't worth it. They are a lot cheaper but after talking with sas I felt a lot happier paying a few quid extra for a guaranteed flow matched set.
Are these injectors worth having with a standard engine ???, what is the max power you can get "realistickly" from standard injectors ??? and what is the max power for the 630's.
Not if your standard mate, they kind of need mapping in as they mess with your fuel gauge iifc think it shows quarter of a tank when your on empty! Think the standard are ok on a stage one but are getting close to full duty. The are people that are more experienced than me that can give you better info!
I'm running 277bhp and on 90 or 95% full duty with the 630's RStuning said I'd be able to get about 280-285 tops
Cheers for the explanation. i think i have a stage 1 setup atm. but more power is always useful. i am interested, spent quite a bit already, how long before these need paying for ??
It was more of a gauging interest at the mo, but seems like we could get a few already. I just said I would be back in touch once we have the 10.
1. Boardy 2.jones 3. ianplymouth 4.BurtyBurg Please add you name if you would like a set! Thanks Too slow
It will over fuel. Unless you have a few mods and looking for over 280 bhp i think it was I wouldn't bother.
