250 Annoying squeak from rear of car

  1. I get this really annoying squeak when going over rough surfaces from the rear of the car. It sounds most definitely from inside the car. My front passenger seat-belt buckle makes the exact same squeak sound when a belt is inserted into it. Seeing as the squeak sounds very similar to I thought maybe the rear seat-belt buckles might be the culprit. But doesnt seem to be the case. I've had someone else drive and i've sat in the back And just cannot seem to trace it. It sounds more like its coming from the boot. Any ideas what this might be or how I may find the source of it? It's becoming very annoying now.

  2. Could be mice lol

  3. LOL, funny thing is i was going to describe the noise as sounding like mice but much louder.

  4. Nmp

    Nmp

You haven't got anyone tied up in the boot have you lol

  5. I'd be tempted to spray a bit of wd 40 on the boot lock mechanism and any bolts around, and see if it makes a difference.

  6. Try the rear passengers window, I made a wedge for mine to stop it squeaking!

  7. LOL, if i did they might help counteract the noise LOL.

    I'll give that a try.

Even though the window is not actually a opening window? i'll give that a go. It's getting quite annoying and have to put up the music to quieten it down LOL

  8. Holy 6 year old thread revival Batman!

If you're still here... I don't suppose you found out what the issue is? I'm suffering with the exact same squeak from the sounds of it. I think it's my rear bench, but I can't pin point the noise.

    It's driving me mad!
