head unit gone off, replaced battery...

  1. about to collect my car saturday, the owner said he changed the battery to a new one and the head unit since hasnt turned back on - anybody got any ideas what this could be?

  2. Try disconnecting the battery for a few mins. Reconnect and try it again.
     
  3. will give it a go, dont fancy a 3/4 hour drive home in silence! lol.
     
  4. Is it fully charged? i heard the radio can be the first thing to be disabled when the battery power isn't high enough, along with keyless entry.

    I'd check the UPC and PFB for blown fuses.
     
  6. think radio is 10amp fuse near glove box under 2 elec window fuses if helps

  8. assuming it is as its a new battery and everything else inc keyless entry work.
     
  9. the unit was a paperweight, chinese shite.
