wheel bolt covers

  1. Looking for some black wheel bolt covers to cover the shiny new silver wheel bolts I have, anyone recommend some decent ones?

  2. Get a can of gloss black spray paint and give them a few coats... I did mine the other weekend when giving the breaks a tidy up. Gave them a good wash and sand down using some paper then once dry put some holes in a pizza box n pushed the bolts through. Gave them around half a dozen light coats one day and put back on the car the next-the finish was decent. Because they're well set in the alloy you can't really see them but black against black looks far far better.

If you're still preferring covers give me a shout - I'm sure I have a pack of those I'd post out for a tenner...

  3. This ^^^

I did the same, the bolt covers only cover the top bit of the bolt, so if the collar/sleeve is rusty as well you still see it, see pic.

Now got a set of black bolts and lockers looks much better.

  4. Ok cheers for the replies. Can anyone remember what bolt size to use (so I don't have to go out in the pi$$ing rain and take one out to measure  ) so I can order some black ones? I originally had painted ones but they were cack
