Rs tuning group buy

  1. Yes mate, got it from Paul he said they benefit from them in his opinion around Stage2. Mine made a tiny bit more power with one nothing noticeable but I love the sound

    You've probably said already but couldn't see it.
     
  4. Only panel filter and backbox chop, looks like 275bhp standard but struggling to over the 300bhp if I'm reading the graph right
     
  5. Keep us posted buddy, forget the figures pauls maps are mental well mine certainly feels a lot faster compared to my ktec map. Ps pipercross cone filter on mine sounds absolutely crazy haha
     
  6. Get Paul to stick a filter on and if it makes any more everyone's a winner.

  12. Got to be happy with that considering its almost standard.

No I'm guessing he would of mentioned it if it was worth putting on, maybe in the future but the power is enough for now as for noise my back box chop keeps me happy, plus the Mrs drives it everyday so not sure if she'd be happy with Darth Vader under the bonnet if its like the cone I've had on previous cars sound like

  17. the mk3's gain so much more bhp over the mk2's!!! but then you do start with more. Only ever driven the r26 are the mk3's much quicker? do they weigh more or anything?

    a mk3 was out of my budget but just wondering
     
  18. Its the turbo buddy. It makes a lot of difference.

  21. That's mad. The standard intercooler is better than the Airtec.
     
  22. The Airtec was on when i first went for a remap. Then because of the lack of output, i went back with standard fitted, then did a back to back with the Pro alloy fitted. Its only a 540 mile round trip for me!
     
  23. Nice! At the end of the day only gona make what the 250 boys do as the 265 just has more boost in sport mode

    bet 330lb is fun though!
     
  24. Can you only get pro alloy for the MK3?

    What's the consensus on the very best cooler for the mk2?
     
  25. I tried to organise a comparison for the mk2 intercooler but no one was interested.
    I'm more than happy with the Ktec one on mine (the 60mm one not the huge Airtec one).
     
  26. James i'm going down on 13th July in my Mk 2 225 and i've got the ktec 95mm one fitted if your wanted some idea of a comparison.
     
  27. Would I noted much difference from a 265 to 300 though and what happens with the 'Sport' button? Do I get 250 and then 300 if i push the button?
     
  28. Well I noticed going from 298 to 312 as it's the jumps between the graphs that make the difference so yes IMO you will notice it
     
  29. Ive gone from 275 to 302 I it's a lot faster imo the torques gone from 285 to 330+ that makes a big difference. I have the 300 on the button
     
  30. Ok, thanks. Is it any smoother in terms of power delivery? I am used to SC cars and notice turbo lag or torque peak at the higher end of the rev range.

  35. I feel its very smooth just soo bloody powerful obviously not compared to an evora s. You have to laugh at your ktec map low down torque, I'd accept that as standard but mapped that's bad, surely there was a bit of lag.
     
  36. Which spark plugs do I need then for a remapped 250?
     
  37. Just the normal ngk ones. You don't get 'special' plugs because it's mapped.
     
  38. Good because I've got some of those on there way,thought I read a few pages back to run a colder plug
     
  39. I don't actually think you get other plugs for them, AFAIK it's only the NGK. I stand to be corrected though.
     
  40. Just got back from RS car made 290bhp and around 300lb/ft before map was 340lb/ft!!!! So slightly detuned but not over the limit on standard rods and pistons now. Car is R26 with following, injectors, air box mod and filter, 3" decat and 3" exhaust, forge fmic, very happy with results and the fact car didn't chuck a rod lol.
