Looking at buying one that's bin sat for a few months. Started when they had it now don't. Says low battery but won't turn over. Is this something simple? Looking at buying for a track car any help would be great
If it won't turn over it's probably the battery. Try jumping it taking it for a drive for an hour or two then see. Also check it with a multi meter to see what reading you get when the engine is on to see if it's charging.
I got a 250 atm but don't wanna thrash it round a track. Thought this would make perfect track car? Been sat for 6 months yea seen the leek tempted but got some thinking to do
Get it going first and then take a view. If its cheap enough... and you only need it as a TD car. That said. how much cost difference is it to a decentish one with MoT and that is already running>
Seen this on Facebook the other day. Tbh at that price it's a steal, specially for a track car. As long as it runs id bite his/her hand off. Everything else can be sorted at less cost than buying a mint one. Which would be a waste for a track slag anyway. I'd say go for it.

This TBH. Even if you pay more for a supposedly better one, one might have to replace half of the same components anyway as you will on this. I deffo want to see it running first though.
Exactly it's a bit of a risk with any second hand car! Look at mine, bought it on 38/9k 2 previous owners etc etc engine went pop within 9k miles!
Think I'm gunna take the chance as its for track days. I have my 250 atm which may end up selling near end of year depending on finances. Will take a jump start power pack with me wen and if I do go. Just gotta find a way of collecting it yet. It's in Telford Shropshire I'm in Swindon
jay for a track car only I would snap it up mate, like xanda says you will replace most of the shite anyway as it gets addictive lol, worst comes to happen you could break it make and get your money back, just get it running and see how she sounds, but if your serious about a 250 lump too then who cares
I'll use that engine for now if it runs as then when I can purchase a 250 lump and drop that in. Mike I see that one again good price but want the f1 as off the seats and lsd etc. think I'm defo gunna get it. Just asking round now about any mates with a car and trailer as only have my 250 lol
I have used http://www.shiply.com/ to move cars before, put your details in, collection place and delivery address and you get emails back giving you quotes, wait a couple of days and sort through, you will be surprised how little it can be. Had a Fiat Stilo picked up from Hatfield (London) Delivered to Plymouth £190 ( i thought it was a bargain)
Couldn't get this in the end was to far and expensive for me to bring back. Is now back on eBay under megane r26 good project for somebody
