Hi Guys, Joined this forum very recently having previously been over on MeganeSport. Now driving my 3rd Megane in 4 years. (250 then 265 and now a Trophy-R; Number 83 of 250 in Yellow). Looking forward to comparing notes with other enthusiasts!
Thanks for the welcome papps. Not sure if this is the right thread for pics, but here are a few: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v480/blindsideblue/P1010237_zpsko0a1geo.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v480/blindsideblue/P1010238_zps9dggrdqf.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v480/blindsideblue/P1010240_zpsdheznlzt.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v480/blindsideblue/P1010241_zpsxsxw0e57.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v480/blindsideblue/P1010244_zps7cnkvhuw.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v480/blindsideblue/P1010245_zpswofiegcd.jpg
Awesome!!, pics on ANY thread my man , the more the merrier. Any trackdays planned or that for her mate? [pmsl Boardy]
Welcome mate! What a beast. They're going for crazy money in some places so I hope you got yourself a good deal!
Cheers papps. Definitely planning to put the car on track when the engine has bedded-in & oil changed at 3k+ miles. Fun to drive even without pushing the revs. Also surprisingly comfortable. Thanks for the welcome guys.
I have just lately returned to the fold with another Trophy R. (I really missed the hard core full-on FWD driving experience these cars provide): [/URL]
@Xanda73 please excuse the delayed reply. Yes; I sold the yellow Trophy-R to a dealer last May. Its pictured in this thread: http://www.rsmegane.com/threads/upgrade-275-trophy-to-r-or-just-to-spec.11687/ By a massive coincidence I saw the car again when picking up the white one from KTR a couple of weeks ago. Its been turned into a serious track toy and re-registered on a personal plate. I think it is now owned by @Lee broadhurst on here? Anyway I regretted selling it and really missed the driving experience. (Use the car as a daily driver and its perfect for the B roads around this part of the world). After some considerable time I saw the white car on pistonheads, (low miles, unmarked and completely standard=rare as rockinghorse shit), and just had to jump-in again.
What swayed you away from the first R then? I guess whatever it was didn't compare well to the Megane
I like all types of performance cars FWD, RWD & AWD. I usually keep for a short while and then change.
yep the yellow r is mine, its had some serious upgrades to get the best out of it on trackdays and time attack meetings, i hope to meet a few of you around the country at trackday meets etc
Looks purposeful... I think a pic of the interior would also be interesting, (nitron & short shift). Good luck on 28th!
Didn't make it as it was pissing down all morning and the car is setup on r888r Tyres at the mo so no point in bending it
