Strange..rear wiper wash does front ?.

Stalk maybe, or water in the fuse box, corroded terminals

 

A little piston that is in the pump that is ment to move from one side to the other depending on the rotation of the pump. The little piston stics in one position so the pump pumps to the front windshield aither whay you "point it"

Sometimes a little rubber gets sweled from alcohol in the washer fluid, sometimes dirt from the system etc.
This is a comon problem and usually pump replacement is easyiest, and a use of more qualitz washer fluid

 

Sounds like the hoses out of the reservoir have been swapped over ?

 

If that was the case, the stalk would appear to work the wrong way round surely?

I think the OP has a duff pump, as the wipers work as intended.

 

Does the rear jet come on when you do the front washers ?

Mine did this a few month ago for about a week, then all of a sudden started working as it should again

 

Mine has this problem as well . . . so new pump. Renault in Wolverhampton?

 

Mine also has this exact problem. Seems to fix itself suddenly though, but only for a brief period.
