  1. So, Jack at Royal Steering wheels is going to do me an alcantara gear lever and handbrake gaiter to match my re-trimmed steering wheel.

I need to send him the current ones so he can match them perfectly for size/fit etc. handbrake is no problem, but for the gear lever gaiter I need to take the gear knob off first.

Not sure if I'm being a complete tart but I'm f***ed if can get it off!

I've got the aluminium R.S. gear knob on, garage put that on for me when it was in for a service, anyone got any tips of the best technique to get it off?

    Cheers in advance

  2. Easy enough! Twist and pull up, does take a little force like. And watch where the spring lands haha it flies off once you've pulled the gear knob off.

Might be a little trickier with the aluminium R.S one to take off, i took my original one off for to replace with aluminium R.S one.

  3. How did you get the handbrake handle off?

  4. Cheers mikescott265, I obviously need to be a bit more forceful with then, by the sound of it!

  5. Handbrake one is easier, you can unclip and slide over the top of the handle

  6. Try not to punch yourself in the face when it flies off

  7. Cheers, I'll remember that

More worried about ripping the gear lever out

  8. Anywhere cheap we can get the RS knob from?
