The Clio has F4rt'ed

  1. i would get the car mapper mate as it is still a larger turbo and your fuelling wont be right.
your car should make good power now, but you will need bigger injectors

  2. I will be getting bigger injectors and a remap. There isn't actually much difference in the turbos, side by side you can't really tell tbh. I think most of the difference is in the strength of the internals. With such a small change the ecu should easily be able adapt the fueling to suit.

  3. It'll still be a clio :tongueout:

  4. Markblack@MRS

    Markblack@MRS RSM Trader

It's a pretty quick Clio tho

  5. Yep but as Mark confirms its a quick Clio.. looking forward how it stacks up against some Megs

  6. Just be careful. Externally there might not be much difference but have you measured inducer and exducer trim wheels ? Is there still a twin scroll split ?

For my money fella, I would have a map tweak. It doesnt take a lot for it to go lean on you and put a very expensive det mark in your piston crown.

  7. Wow, first time i c this post, excellent work, ill be inpacient to c some videos

  8. Very valid points Andy, recently had it on the rolling road and everything was running fine so we didn't bother tweaking it. I'll be ordering the 630cc injectors within the next couple of weeks so it'll get a full mapping session then. Not to bothered about chasing higher figures just think it'd be wise to use the larger injectors as I'm near the limit on these.

Thank you, been too busy having fun to get some vids but I'm sure I'll have some soon. The car will also have some newly developed Cazan Racing 2 piece 330mm disks on soon too

  9. Ha ive only just realised this is the car from pfc ive only had the mag 6 weeks lol nice car angel

  10. Bloody brilliant...

  11. Thank you for the kind words. It's had a few changes since the article but i'll do a full update shortly.

  12. The number plate is ace too

  13. Went to Cadwell park at the weekend. Bit of a last minute booking but it gave me chance to properly test out the new engine, coilovers, brakes and tyres. Ive not done Cadwell in a car before so met up with Marc Kemp (2013 Pro Class Time Attack Champ) for a bit of inside knowledge.

We went out in his diffed 200 first, even though the track was damp the speed that he was carrying was absolutely mental. It was great to learn the lines he was taking and also see just what can be done with a Clio in the right hands. We then went out in my Clio and he loved the power...

The biggest smile of the day was the cars that the Mistress surprised on track. Down Park Straight and round Chris Curve the car easily had the legs on a few Evos, a Focus RS and an M3. The car performed faultlessly all day.

The brakes really showed there stuff especially at Park Corner where by the afternoon I was going from flat out in 6th and leaving it until the last marker before stamping on the brakes, into third and round park right up to the Gooseneck flat upto 5th.

The BC coilovers also performed fantastically. I adjusted the damping throughout the day but found the best setting was around 18 clicks from soft (of 32 settings). One thing I did notice was a diff would definitely benefit the car especially in the slower corners like the Hairpin and Barn. It would have also helped drag the car round better at Coppice, which in the morning I was braking but by mid afternoon I was going through flat.

The tyres were also very impressive, for each session I did around 8 flying laps and only once did the tyres feel like they were going off through Chris Curve but I think that was more down to tyre pressure as they were well high when I came in. The combination of soft on the front and medium on the back worked really well. The back end was twitchy at the limit but so controllable.

Unfortunately I don't have any videos but I have a few pictures, more to come.

The day was rounded off well by meeting up with a couple of the members from here. Steve with his gorgeous white R26R, who had a little go in the Clio and John who came to collect his injectors. Both top blokes who hopefully i'll bump into again on track next time.

What exhaust are you running?

  16. saw this yesterday parked up. It looks awesome! !

  17. The wing things on the front bumper. Are these a clio part or could they be fitted to an R26? They look ace.

  18. They look like universal bumper canards pal

google them and have a look on ebay

  19. ECU flashed or aftermarket?

I'm planning on doing this same conversion on my 2010 RS200.

Just started talking with my mechanic and we are both interested to know if you re-flashed the original Clio ECU or source a Megane ECU or if you used and aftermarket ECU.

Could you advise what you did please?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

We're based in Brisbane, QLD, Australia.

    Thank you

Great pictures of your conversion too. thank you

  20. You will need to use the Megane ECU for the conversion, which will require the immobiliser chip replaced and flashed (can't remember the actual name of the chip though).

  21. Nice cannonball =] but is there a special reason why u didn't attach rods to your engine?
Is it possible for you to take 60-120 times? Would be interesting:smile:

  22. Not possible as I've not got the car anymore but 0-140 was confirmed to be quicker than a Lexus ISF and a Porsche Cayman S. In the interests of science we conducted the test both ways down the A61, oops sorry I mean private runway, and the Clio still left waving the bigger willy. (Until It was bouncing off the limiter at 145 where the other 2 said goodbye rather quickly)
