  1. Hi All

Anyone using one of these ?

    Any feedback appreciated..

    Cheers
    Drew

  2. I use Rev app i think is better

  3. Torque app for me

  4. Cheers guys...

Bought a dongle, not an app yet... will check them out....

  5. i use the dash command with the wifi dongle from fleebay. works alright but haven't really used it in anger. bought for the code reader if needed..

  6. torque app its free also

  7. I'm an iPhone user, so went down the DashCommander route in the end after trying REV Lite which failed dismally ! :worried: Totally unstable on the 5C - crashing, locking up etc...

Only got it set up this evening and haven't really had a chance to use it yet... was interested to see what boost gauge was like TBH, cheaper and less of a ball ache than fitting a physical unit.

+ the added ease of fault code reading / resetting etc.. and a gadget to boot

Cheers for that, i'll get one ordered.

  10. Found a couple of simple Boost gauges for the DashCommander online.... Lets see what they do in the morning, if I go out know the curtains will be twitching !

  13. where did you find the boost gauge on the app?

  14. Its on the standard dashboard (turn the unit on its side and the boost / vacuum appears) or touch the "Accel" meter and it switches to Boost... Simples.

Or you can download additional dashboards from the website.. the 2 above were from there.... cant remmeber what I searched for now, just checked mine and they are called "Boost Only" and "Light Weight Boost (bar)"

    Cheers
    Drew

  15. Cheers i wasnt even aware i could just click the acccel etc lol.

ive downloaded a few different ones through the app although the app crashes a lot when going to the downloads bit.

did you download them from the website? How did you get them on your phone after that

  16. I found it by mistake mate ! Lol....

Havent had mine crash yet, literally downloaded from the App itself and then select it from the Dashboards menu..

What phone / IOS you running ?

  17.

  18. 6 plus 8.3 (or whatever latest firmware is)

If you go via downloads within the app search for something then scroll down the first 25 that load then select load 25 more always crashes back to home screen lol

Ive had a good look round and found some boost gauges as the main dashboard so will give them a try. i bought the other app as well eobd2 but its not the greatest i think dash command is more comprehensive from what ive seen so far

    cheers for your help though

  19. .. mine running on a 5C, and still running 7 IOS ATM... reluctant to upgrade to 8

Could be an IOS8 issue bud..

    No worries...

For iPhone, I think its one of the better ones, and as you say more comprehensive...

Does yours reconnect when you turn the car on Drew? I find I have to reseat the adapter after starting before the iPhone picks it up

  21. It did - and has started to go to sleep of late mate requiring a reconnect.. going to have a play later this eve to see if there is a setting on the dongle that can be changed.. will keep you posted mate.

Hoping I can hack into it from the laptop  To my mind, shouldn't be any different when power switches back on from start button to re-plugging in again if you know what I mean...

  22. In fact I'm going to have a go now !

  23. For me guys aslong as the dongle stays in the obd then it always reconnects automatically once fone is in range, never have to reset it, but I use a Samsung s5 not an iphone

  24. Maybe its an iPhone thang ! I just tried to connect up to the dongle from a laptop to see if there were any configuration options... but no joy. Was hoping there'd be a web interface..

Should have checked to see whether the laptop sees the network as soon as the car is started up - that'll prove whether an iphone issue... or whether its the dongle "going to sleep"... buts its a pain in the **** regardless

I'll have another check on the way home this afternoon....

  25. Yours bluetooth or Wifi MidnightRunner ?

  26. Oh shit yeah I forgot your iphone dongles are wifi right, soz mate yeah I use Bluetooth

  27. Prob a quirk of wifi mate... :worried:

Didnt get a chance to check when I left, taking my eldest to footy now, will check again when I get back later...

Probably by design actually, when the wifi is connected it disables data use for obvious reasons.
