  10. Fitted today by a good mate  didn't take him long at all. Gearbox one took the longest.

Can feel a difference, I have some very slight vibration through the cabin and a bit through the pedals, hardly noticeable. But been reading online that they bed in so may go away. It's liviable as it is anyway. Front end feels more solid and sturdy, and also felt that my gear change is a lot smoother. My previous car was a ph1 172 with Vibratechnic solid mounts and that was unbearable to use everyday IMO.

Good buy, I think. £70 for all three I paid.

Gearbox one took me a while to get in too. Worth it though. Definitely need to invest in the other two myself.

  12. I had a go at doing the lower mount today. Got the two bolts holding the mount in place out but couldn't get the rectangular plate off as one of the nut AND bolt seemed to be turning. Tried to jack it up a bit further and my 6 year old £15 B&Q trolley jack finally gave up.

Did you need to take that plate off to remove the mount? I couldn't the move the mount very far all with it in situ.

  13. When I first tried it, bolts came out easy but I couldn't manoeuvre it out either, didn't have very good access. So gave up.

My mate got under the car and had it out in less that 2-3 mins. I did see a metal plate on the floor so he must of removed something. Sorry not much help like.

  14. Do powerflex bushes perish... Been told that they last a lifetime... So just wondering if you got these is it best to do so with new mounts?

  15. Personally thats what I'd do depending on the ages of your 225/R26

Buy new standard mounts, fit the powerflex mounts to them, then fit them to the car.

all depends on the condition of your existing mounts but for all that the full standard kit costs it's worth while.
