here is a link to the car any advice if its worth it and what you think http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201504132569265?atcide=emc-cars-DEC004
No - I wouldn't personally as it's shit. lol at that rear bumper. You'd spend a grand on it straight away getting all the crap off it. I've seen miles better.
yeah I'd stay well clear of that. You can't help but assume that's been driven by a certain.. spectrum
i have just been offerd a 06 plate f1 in blue for £2700n with fsh ect ,the only problem is he sad the traction light is on and its the steering sensor,so what about this is it worth having a gamble as it seems cheap
or can have this for £2500 http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classif...megane/page/2/keywords/225/usedcars?logcode=p
Can you not afford more? or wait a bit? Trophy looks ok ish from the pictures but it'll need money spent on it.
im sure that first link you posted back on the first page is Zorganator off this forum hes posted on my thread in the past and looks exactly as he described with a side exit exhaust. must of sold it then.
That's too cheap to have FSH, cambelt done and no faults. I'm not saying don't look at it because it could be a mega bargain, but ask yourself why someone would sell a car for £1500-£2000 less than an example like that is worth? There are loads of shitter 225's and a fair few similar R26's knocking around, the bottom end ones are a gamble - you may get lucky or you may spend a couple of grand just putting things right. That's if you're bothered about everything being right obviously, some people are just happy to drive the car.
You need to spend the £3600 on a nice early ph1 that wants for nothing instead of going for a bottom of the market r26. Unless you specifically want something that needs a lot dong to it.
All the ones you've mentioned and posted links too look like they'll be problematic. I'd steer clear. TBH at this price, I'd be looking at Clios really. You'd get a better standard of car for your money and less likely to be a money pit.
You all say money pit to be so off putting? Yeah niggles and faults come with most and you pay for what you get. I've had two phase1's and now a phase two, although this one now is more expensive, they've all had a fair share of faults. Just check over everything before you buy.
i am just trying to find a good deal as moving house and thats costing a fortune to sort.what about this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2006-RENA...607?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1c51660c4f
Keep searching and a good one will come up at the right price. I had been looking for a megane 225 5 door model sine January and I came accross a good one at the end of march for £1900. Car is solid mechanically and has got FSH. Only things it needs are a window regulator and some paintwork detailing as there a lot of swirl marks in the paintwork.
