Is it me or is it slowly creeping back up for no apparent reason? I thought the price per barrel was still very low?
It is still low , but as it creeps up it gets passed straight on to the consumer. I paid the equivalent of £6.30 for 33liters last week :/
Yeah I was under the impression we would be seeing £1 a litre again as oil was around half the cost it was a couple of years ago. I guess we pay for the rise but don't benefit from drops so Oil tycoons and the govt will just screw us when they can!
Yeah its still relatively low around $65 a barrel, but it was below $50 at the end of Jan - so the wholesale price has actually gone up 30% over the last 12 weeks..... The fuel where I am has gone up around 8p in that time
I think I'll be one of the few that won't actually mind the prices going up, the low price of oil isn't doing my job security any favours! Having said that, I was in Oman over the new year and a full tank of petrol could be had for about £15, can't say I wasn't jealous!
I'm in the same boat! My largest customer at work rely heavily on the price of oil... low petrol prices mean they don't spend big bucks
seemed to come down for about a week then slowly going back up again!. Shell v power is around 10p more expensive on average than tesco 99 around my way
