    dropped the gauge holder off to be flocked as well as the the centre vent, outer vents and the vents at the top. should get that back the middle of next week.

    got a few bits for fitting the gauges

    oil sandwich plate with double 'O' rings

    also got a oil pressure sender and braided hose to mount it further up in the engine bay. pirtek wanted £60 for a hose, but manged to pick this one up for £30

    lastly received my gauges. i went with

    oil temp
    oil pressure
    boost pressure

    went down to Watford this morning to collect the flocked trims, really pleased with them! they break up the dash and look very smart.

    Also i got the new oil and filter, a set of goodridge braided lines and a set of Yellowstuff pads front and rear

    all i need now is wire and i can start fitting the gauges
     
  7. Looks nice! Where abouts in watford did you get it flocked? Mine has been flocked in the same colour as the roof lining and I hate it! So if it's not a silly price I might go for it!

    i took the air vents out, but i had another centre top part.

    done a few things to it recently, firstly i changed the coolant and also put a new thermostat in as well ]

    also bought new brake fluid for when i get the brake lines fitted

    lastly i got in contact with snappy to see if he could retrim a gear knob for me, heres the results. really pleased with it!

    lastly i found a glove box on ebay with the silver trim at the top in good condition, repainted the handles, glovebox trim and gear surround in 205-110 (182ff alloy wheel colour)

    Nice update. How much was the gear knob?

    They easy to get hold of?

    Also the handle trims easy to remove, I'm proper heavy handed.

    there was a couple on ebay , they do seem to be be quite hard to get hold of though in decent condition.

    yeah handles are easy to get off, just start at the bottom, they wont brake easily so you'll be alright

    had a go at painting my door badges. smoothed them off sprayed renault sport in ultra red and used 205-110 as the background.

    think im going to give it another go, but for a first attempt its not to bad

    sorted out the steering wheel insert, painted it the same colour as the trim and done the renault sport in ultra red

    removed the carbon rear wiper blank and fitted a painted one, looks better imo

    took a spare inlet and cover mount brackets to be powder coated in black, i got a phenolic gasket fo when i fit the powdercoated one, but i dont think it will fit as the engine bracket bolts on to the manifold and the gasket is 5mm thick. so the bolts wont line up, unless i can elongate the holes some how?

    the boot floor has got on my nerves since i bought the car. it had bowed in the middle so the edges stuck up, put down a mdf sheet and bought a boot floor mat from ebay. looks so much better

    got a couple of bit bought and fitted


    took a few brackets and a inlet manifold to be powder coated

    cleaned up the rocker cover and repainted the turbo heat shield. still need to fit the cambelt covers and the inlet manifold. i think the inlet will be difficult to fi, slam panel will probley need to come off [​IMG] might to at the weekend

    i had a go at fitting a set of vauxhall insignia washer jets, they fit on to the scuttle panel. they work fine
    im going to get a new scuttle and fit them better and also sort out the cut outs for the strut brace

    got a delivery from France today upper strut brace and lower subframe brace

    the lower one will be done in a couple of week. the captive nuts have come of f the subframe to will need fixing.
    my plan it to hole saw the old nuts out the then weld buts on to some sheet steel and then weld the sheet steel to the subframe
