Will be interesting to see what this goes for? http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classif...de/wn60ah/channel/cars/keywords/275?logcode=p
It will sell for 35k, A lot of the Trophy-R's that have been bought have been bought by people to run alongside their other "fun" cars such as GT3's and the likes. I personally know of 3 of them that have been bought for that reason. IE those with a lot of disposable income. I wonder what their values will drop to after a couple of years, All depends on what the MK4 Megane RS is going to be. I can see them staying above the 25k mark though.
Not a fan of ly with red they just dont go together. should of been the silver like the trophy or black.
It's all relative - some would say £20k for a 5 year old, old model Megane would be even madder. Prices are what they are!
An old R your referring too for 20k that's also nuts but for 38k you can get a lot more motor which you can't get for 20k, AMG C63 M3 M5 GTR The list goes on yes some of them maybe more to run but if you can pay 38k for any car then your not short of cash, I'll be buying a 911 turbo soon and I don't care how many mpg it does as it will be a weekend toy like a new trophy R will be and it's not far off the price of an expensive Renault , lovely cars though the new trophy Rs are, I may have one in 5 years if they drop to 20k
You can pick up pretty much every one of those cars on your list for 20k as well Steve. Granted they may be the older models but some of them are arguably the better ones.
The only one you wouldn't be able to get would be a GT-R but i would take a 32 or a 34 over one any day of the week. The only thing i would pay that sort of money for would be something from Stuttgart tbh. What model Turbo are you getting, 997?
Yes 997, looked at one the other week, love em, one of my neighbours has a GTR 2009 paid 38k for since then though he's thrown another 20k at it. Now at 870 bhp, been it it a few times and how it's road legal I'll never know lol
The new GT-R's do nothing for me at all. I appreciate their speed and how technologically great they are but they just leave me cold
Runnings costs of those cars are astronomical though (especially the GTR). A Megane, even a Trophy R is dead cheap to run in comparison.
Agreed, after converting from a 265 to an Evo the one thing i never appreciated about the Megane is how cheap and low maintenance it is compared to other performance vehicles.
This is where I would like to go next after the Megane and M3. If (or when) you get one, would be interested in your experiences with it.
spotted that price drop after a quick browse yesterday, wakefield renault also have a 275 trophy back in stock but i feel there prices are laughable for a 2nd hand car when surely a brand new one would be cheaper??
At the moment 275s are holding their value well, I can currently trade mine in to Wewantanycar for more than I paid for it
I think we may have done, if you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for yours? PM me if you wish, I shall respond with my price too, of course
Purchased mine for £22500 with 18 miles on the clock as a straight cash deal no part ex and no finance. It all worked out perfectly. Spotted it a few days after I had written off my 250.
They're great prices, what's putting me off the 265s is the prices dealer are selling at and they usually have no good spec. May aswell go for. 275
Join DateMar 2015Posts21 Yeah we got very lucky! Silverstone only ordered 4 cars I think. We got two, the other two for up for around £25k and £26k respectively iirc
Well if you all thought the LY trophy R was expensive it seems a bargain now Targa Florio seems to think £48k! Is the going rate!!! http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201505253757365?atmobcid=soc3
well, if you don't ask you don't get, ridic price tho - never would of been that expensive bought from a dealer in the same spec
