Hi guys, Only picked her up last weekend, here are some pics of her (from the for sale add, how lazy!) And one of my own on the long drive home The next day at work I got her up on the ramp and found... Surprise surprise... Play in the steering so replaced both steering arms and track rod ends (perks of being a Renault technician ) Then took her to a close friend who runs a detailing company near Plymouth who gave her a much needed machine polish and also ceramic coated the paint for me! I'd recommend it to anyone, here are some before and after shots he took.. There will be loads more to come as it's still early days!
Thanks guys! I've always used good products and cleaning methods on my cars I just needed to get it back to a good standard for me to start with the product is Gyeon Quartz ceramic coat and gives the glossiest finish I've ever seen!
That does look brilliant, my local detailer is now Gyeon certified, been meaning to get some correction & protection done from him but its end of May now for first slots - looks well worth it tho when I see results like yours
It was 100% worth it mate! Didn't realise just how bad it was before until I looked at the before and after pics and before the paint actually looked a dull grey haha!!
Nice shots of the car and in great surroundings. I can't wait to give mine its first compound polish and gyeon is a product ive been wanting to test for a while but I better use up the ridiculously priced pot of AF wax first!
It's not an r26 without all of the decals I bought renault uk's last pair of rear window fia crest decals on the weekend too! Not sure if they're going to make more, I was speaking to our renault parts advisor and he said they've stopped making the r27 Clio decals!
The is a bloke on here that can get them made, think his name is Lee. Was only thinking before I need a new one as its peeled up a little. And agreed about the decals, they are a bit in your face but I kind of don't notice it anymore.
ah yeah I forgot about those window fia stickers. Mines peeled off a while back . £48 means I haven't bothered replacing them. I know what you mean , the decals complete the r26 look, I just couldnt use the car for work if they're on. A bit too lairish and loud imo, but when I use the car as a weekend toy only , I won't care!!
It's crying out for a detail though, it's not bad by any means but I know it could be a lot better. The is a local detailing place I have been looking at who do the Gyeon Quartz coating, the bloke has the coating on a blackTesla and it looks amazing. This is what sold it to me!! Not a bad price either. https://m.youtube.com/watch?t=62&v=CFiHklALxxI
I didn't get much discount at £40 I think it was when he said it's the last pair that I just panicked and said I'll have them haha! To be honest the car looks better without the fia window stickers so I'll probably just keep them somewhere safe for now

I have a video of mine with water being poured over it on Facebook but I can't find a way of saving it and getting it on here I'm using tapatalk, is there a way??
Haha no I've worked with him for years and I even checked the screen as I work at a Renault main dealer
If you go on the video and press on the arrow in the bottom left and side of the screen you can copy the link. Then paste it on the page.
Get it done mate the car was really scratched before and now everyone is blown away by it! Complete transformation!
Have a look at the tesla video I posted earlier, the car was a right mess before hand. Finish is unreal.
We're the scratches machine polished out or is this purely the finish of the mohs or whatever it's called
My window stickers have arrived With some very helpful French instructions Really can't decide weather or not to fit them, the car looks very nice without them although they are part of what makes the r26 a bit special... Opinions?
I say put the stickers on, I have just lost one, but that's another story, car looks lost without it, waiting for my ebay specials to arrive for £12 I ain't paying £43 quid via renault or what ever it is, that's if you can get em. im also a fan of the full sticker kit, look a bit bland without imo.
