Removed front bumper, fitted a hid kit and all new bulbs removed diamond for painting, fitted fog light blanks and a skoda splitter as mine didnt seem to have one. Lools loads better and hopefully be able to see in the dark!!
Needs new spark plugs spluttering quite bad and bigger turbo needed. 277bhp - 325lb. Completely different to be honest, with how it drives but still far from happy.
He turned the boost right up and just wouldn't let him go for it. New plugs and a bit more fiddling would have seen mid 280's.
I booked mine in to get its wheels refurb'd. Colour choice is certainly going to be marmite but i think it will look awesome and will certainly make it stand out
stripped out some more un-needed weight from the race car... for future reference don't ever offer to change the entire heater matrix fan unit.. mine came out in several uneven pieces.. afterwards (because that's obviously the correct order to do things) i looked through workshop manual and they say dash bar out which requires doors off haha only renault
I had pretty much decided on that colour already, Just wasn't sure what shade to go for but aye, One of the ones on CS. Tempted to get some decals made up as well for the bodywork but unsure on them yet.
New Coilpacks, Boot switch changed, N75 valve replaced, Larger cone filter for my CAI and new PSS's fitted today. Oh and it got a quick wash and all glass sealed again with G1. All before 12 noon as well. Oh and new wipers all round LOL
Managed to get my freshly new number plate lamps fitted along with new led bulbs, amazing how the light output has changed with new clear lenses
argh dont like tapatalk for posting so heres what i was upto turning this into this into this and finally into this did some other parts as well whilst i was at it
Just back in for what is becoming a yearly tradition, An Easter Sunday blast over Dukes Pass. Quite a lot of decent stuff out today, Must be the 18 degree weather. Roads weren't that busy either considering its Easter weekend and the weather is cracking. Highlights include an E92 M3 at full chat coming the opposite way followed by a OG RS250 behind trying to keep up. Spotted my first 991 GT3 on the road as well today. Again giving it the beans. Immense sound. The highlight had to be the 993 GT2 though. Hero spec car and was being driven accordingly. I sometimes forget how lucky i am to live where i do and how epic the roads are here. Roll on the summer.
I honestly couldn't tell you for sure, Not that i can remember though but i wasn't paying too much attention at the time LOL
I was out and about yesterday and saw one go through Kingussie. Also saw a yellow 250 parked up at a house there too.
Booked the car in for end of month to have r26r spoiler fitted & wing mirrors painted @http://repairandrestorebodyshop.co.uk/
Booked the car in for a service with Mike@Diamond Motors last week, bought some interior LED'S from EBay, glued the rear window sills down last night so hoping looks fine this morning
Since the Megane isn't really driveable at the moment I borrowed my brothers ST for a blast this afternoon. Can't stop telling people how much fun they are. Mega. Washed the pair of then this evening as well
cut the windscreen out, attacked more wiring and decided im gonna paint the cars inside and rollcage the same orange as my wheels instead of the cars colour blue..
Booked her in for some paint corrrection and Gyeon MHOS coating from a local detailer at the end of May
haha, how did you know?!?!! I saw a post ages ago on meganesport from him and been following on FB for a good while - as he's booked for ages I was putting it off, but now I've taken off the bumper decals I think its worth getting it done properly, then with the 3 day correction it seems silly not to go for a long lasting coating.
He is the only one i know of down your way LOL, Top guy and does some great work. If i ever decide to get a Pro to tidy mine up he is on the list. Should look great after he has finished with it, Especially with the Gyeon coating!
