Afternoon everyone. I was wondering if any of you have experienced a Forge BOV type dump valve leaking boost whilst accelerating in 2nd and 3rd (even gentle acceleration). I noticed it this morning whilst driving to work; I would estimate that the dump valve has been fitted on the car for circa 2 years+ with no issues. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is? Hose come loose or spring broken etc.? Thanks in advance, Josh Apologies if I have posted this in the wrong place.
I think this might be what I'll do. Just had a word with Forge and they suspect that the lower spring could be broken.
Had exactly the same with mine, the little spring had snapped, they sent me a new one with a pack of grease to re grease it for about a tenner iirc! Extremely helpful guys
Just opened it up this evening and the little spring at the bottom was snapped. Cleanest snap I've ever seen too I'll have you know. A call to Forge tomorrow should sort it out. You can just hear a 'whooshing' noise when accelerating or even driving around normally, If you've got it you'll know instantly.
