  1. Howdi all.

Just wondered if anyone has used a company called Big Red in Worcester??

My 225 Brembos are looking a bit tired and in need of a refurb.

They can strip them down, blast them, recoat and rebuild with new seals.

    Cheers

  2. I've used them, excellent service, never heard a complaint tbh

  3. Cheers bud. That's good enough for me. Did you get your calipers refurbed??

How much do they charge for a full strip and rebuild? I normally just get the seals from them

  7. It would be interesting to know what you paid mate if you don't mind us asking.

    cheers

  8. I really can't remember, somewhere in the region between £100-£130

  9. Bloody hell I was expecting double that. Think I'll be whipping mine off and getting them sent down to them. Cheers mate.

  10. Literally round the corner from me... Didn't know their prices though... So looks like il be nipping my car round there at some point.

  11. was a few years ago so not sure on current prices, best thing to do is call or pop over and they will give u a quote

  12. I emailed them yesterday asking about refurbing my front Brembos and standard rears and this is the reply I got this morning.

    Hi
I'm very sorry but we do not offer any refurbishment service on the Brembo calipers.

Oh yeah, I forgot that they had stopped refurbing Brembo callipers.

There are a couple other companies that offer it including a high quality re paint but it is not cheap. Your looking at around £300 for a pair of front callipers for a full strip/rebuild and paint. I got a few quotes the other week

Ive just ordered the seal kit and a few new pistons, Seal kit os £30 quid and pistons are 13 quid each. Couple hours work then i will either paint them myself or get my bodyshop guy to re do them.

  14. Why did they stop refurbing brembo,s?

calipers are calipers and brembo's are quiet common would be a huge loss to stop working on them

Im not sure on the exact reason, They do take longer than conventional callipers. Bigg Red get a lot of business as it is so the lack of not doing Brembos probably makes no difference to them.

Im think it has been quite a number of years since they done them
