So after owning a 225 phase 2 for 2 years and having no problems what so ever I decided to buy an R26. Car is clean and has full service history and a folder full of reciepts of work carried out. In the 3 months of owning I have replaced 2 rear calipers, n/s/f ball joint. Needs two inner track rods and after trying to do a brake fluid change I now need a bleed nipple as it's sheared off. The front bumper is sagging down on the n/s but when I stripped it the brackets all look to be secure. I'm bored of repairing it now
Stick with it mate , bought an r26 and thought it was a mistake but after doing all the little annoying bits and a full detail i now know that every inch of this car is mint and it always puts a smile on my face .
I've been having the same recently but for what its cost me the last 6 months i'm not getting rid now.
It's just how it goes mate. I had a 225 for 3 1/2 years and spent almost nothing on it, I bought an R26 3 years newer with lower mileage and its cost me more in repairs in under 2 years than the 225 did in 3 1/2. Nothing major, just common stuff like a driveshaft, radiator, drop links etc. I was just really lucky with the 225. I still don't think they're expensive cars to maintain really.
