New Megane 225 Trophy Owner

  1. Howdi all

Thought I would join up and say hello.

Picked up my Megane 225 Trophy a few days ago but sadly it's been neglected by previous owners and was in a sorry state.

I just just don't get how owners can let get there cars get in such a state. Winds the life of me but I seen past all that with this car and bought it anyway. With it being 1 of 500 i felt I needed to save it as they are becoming very rare.

Shes in good hands with me though as I've done 2 full nut and bolt concours rebuilds on a Mk1 Golf GTI and a MK2 Golf GTI over the years.

This is is my very first Renault though and a bit of a newb on it so no doubt I'll have many questions over the coming weeks. Be good to get to know you all in the process too.

    Chat soon :-)

    Welcome along! Fine choice....

  3. Cheers Daz. Haha yeah fine choice indeed mate but you might think I was mad taking it on when you see the pics but someone has to save these rare cars. Its only done 65k, all previous mots and part if not full history. Only missing a few receipts but I can live with that.

I'll be starting a project thread tomorrow hopefully :-)

  4. Welcome

  7. Welcome along mate sounds like you've got a fair few jobs to fire through with this one looking forward to seeing updates

  8. Cheers for the welcome lads :-)

Yeah I've got a job list as long as my arm on this one but I'm looking forward to the challenge as its what I do best.

Does anyone one know if there's a Renault Electronic Parts Catalogue that you can download?? I need loads of bits and would rather get the part numbers myself and head down to my local parts dept.

    Thanks

  9. Welcome mate!!! - look forward to seeing your progress thread for sure  -

There's some workshop manuals for the megane over at turboreanult.co.uk in the references section - http://turborenault.co.uk/resources/ - might have some useful stuff in there for you mate.

  10. Brilliant choice, welcome to the Trophy club!!
