Had the pleasure of detailing this stunning Liquid Yellow 275 Trophy. Car has done around 600 miles. So upon arrival: So citrus pre wash applied: Then washed and dried off looking much better: Car was then moved inside and clayed: Then onto the paint depth readings all good on this: Onto correction I used the flex with a lake country finishing pad and tried out the koch chemie m2 polish:
Looking sharp: With the correction done it was panel wiped: This is the finished after a wipe down: Onto the protection: After applying the C1 I cracked on with the other parts, fabrics coated with Gtechniq fabric guard:
Also protected the new matts in the boot: Leather parts with Gyeon leather: Wheels off onto the arches, calipers and wheels: Windscreen with G1 and removed with G2: Gyeon trim used funnily enough on the trims: Few other little bits taken care of and then out for pictures:
Shame there was no sun out to do it justice! only for the first time i think watched the misses drive it off to work in the sun the other day, epic paint. ed, i will book back in soon just getting round to it...and finding the time!
Surprised how well it came up considering the low miles but looks ace now. And as Ed knows - I have a penchant for yellow cars!
everytime i look at your posts i see how dirty my laptop screen is and im like must be on my screen cant be the car and sure enough it is every time ha
I feel your pain mate, sometimes I look at the screen and think im sure I would of seen that mark or it's on the camera.
Really? It looks ok in the above pictures, or is it that it was 'double thickness' on the R26? Cracking, as usual though. My efforts seem to have left a residue all along the edges of the decals which is a bit of a pain to get off, but then I'm nowhere near this standard.
It's definately different, the pearl isn't as prominent on the newer cars and my old paint measured 400 microns on average where as this was around 200 average,it's not worse just different looks in different lights
Yep agreed though ed, colour is different to my old r26. I find it looks flatter in low light but pops a lot more in direct sunlight. Get so much attention when the sun is out. Probably the gtechniq eh
