1. I am having a pair of Recaro Sportsters re-trimmed to go in my 250 and I am weighing up my options on how I get them done. Option one is standard cup full cloth with yellow stitching which is easy enough, option 2 is the alcantara and carbon finish from the 275 Trophy with yellow details. This will obviously be more expensive but it is possible to use a carbon effect vinyl instead of the leather to cut costs a bit.

    Opinions?

  2. 275 Trophy ones look miles better.

  3. Use leather. You'll regret not using it.

  4. I'm not sure the 275 seats are genuine leather?

  5. I agree, just wanting to see if others agree its worth the extra outlay. I think they'd look great with yellow stitching etc.

  6. They might not be but given the opportunity of using real leather makes it special. Who's trimming them for you?

  7. These chaps - their work is stunning http://optimustrimmers.co.uk

  8. i prefer "Option one is standard cup full cloth with yellow stitching" for whats its worth...

  9. Have they given you a good quote? I'm keen on retrimming my Recaros in leather. Currently have the standard yellow stitched ones.

Can anyone recommend a good place to get the standard yellow cloth Rec's retrimmed or repaired? Part of my drivers seat has been frayed ever since picking it up

  10. They look pricey Mark?

  11. I think it's good - £400 for standard cloth, £650 for the Trophy finish. Leather would be a LOT more though.

  12. I'm looking for a good trimmer in the Midlands or close enough if anyone has any suggestions?

  13. Both your ideas look spot on - if you can afford it, I'd def pop for the 275 Trophy style with the yellow details to match your car - will look ace...you going to get the steering wheel trimmed at the same time to match?

  14. I'd love to get alcantara on that too but then I'd need to do the handbrake and gear gaiters...

  15. I thought they looked professional not pricey

no harm in giving them a call as the Recaro's Sportster seat seems really popular for retrims on their website.

Theres always loads of nice cars sitting outside there place.

We're going to get our Abarth 500 seats done by them when the standard leather wears away a bit more.
