Anyone know if the exhaust trim on the 275 is exactly the same as the 265, apart from looking carbon? Was thinking about getting mine dipped but might just be as easy to buy a 275 one from Renault.
The carbon trim on the 275 is the Akrapovic trim piece, Not a renault item. Streamline do a carbon surround but their quality is a bit questionable to say the least and their prices are ridiculous
Im surprised they sell it separate, Whats the price on it out, Curious if it is as ridiculous as i think it will be The Streamline one is about £170 IIRC
I'm I correct in saying the heat shield is that crappy bit of bent metal in the trim, hence I if a buy a normal trim and get it Dipped it won't start melting?
Yup correct, Although i don't see a stock system or one with the cat producing enough heat or similar to melt. Ive had my gloss black trim on for a long time now and it hasn't melted, That includes the copies amounts of flames mine produces as well
Normal exhaust trim is £114 stick on £40 for it to be dipped and suddenly Streamline don't look to bad. How questionable is their quality/fit jamie?
I have their carbon diamonds and the lacquer is peeling on them. Speak to Mega carbon, Im sure they will be able to do them cheaper.
I've heard several complaints about the fit of the carbon mirror caps offered by Streamline, but not heard too much about the fitting of the exhaust trim. Bloody hell, is that what Renault charge for it Ads!? It makes the £1738 cost for complete exhaust from K-Tec seem quite reasonable lol
Oh and the waiting times are a joke, Im sure i was 4/5 weeks for the Diamonds. Ads, That is mental. How can Renault justify adding so much on to the price of them
