  1. Hi guys , tomorrow I am moving the battery on my f1 to the boot to make space for the itg filter,
has anyone done this already ? , I'm just wondering where and how to fix the battery , It could fit under the carpet in the spare wheel well but how to fix in place ,

  2. Can't help you mate, but make some photos tomorrow
I would like to do the same but not sure how to fit it nicely in the trunk, a small box or something would be nice

  3. Youll need a battery box or go to a dry battery b

  4. Ok so had a go at moving the battery today . Got some bat cable from local shop , new terminal and mega fuse then all soldered and hear shrunk , the old battery tray and clamp came in hand with a few cuts here and there , fits perfect , drilled and sealed down through the spare wheel well to secure battery tray ,
mo would upload a few pics but it says file size is to big , pics were taken on my phone . Any ways round this

I moved mine a few years ago. Nice little mod. I used a an E46 cable.

  9. Hi MJ57 the battery is secured down same as it would be under the bonnet,
I have taken the battery tray from there, bolted that to the spare wheel well , and have the battery clamp on it, so really no differant from what it was,
the gases yeah but my thoughts where that bmw and merc fit them in the boot standard and I'm sure they wouldn't if it was that harmful, ?

  10. they are in an enclosed area though.

  11. my bmw z3 and jaguar s-type were not in an enclosed area mate ??? lift up the boot luggage lid and there it was nr side of wing, totally open.

got to say jaysport nice job mate imo

  13. On the plus side moving the air filter and having a direct air feed coming up from the front and in just behind the head light , I have reduced heat by about 1/4 on the temp gauge ,
