I'm more of a Queens of the Stone Age kinda guy! Listening to that and a bit of The Dead weather at the moment. Also going to see Royal Blood in a few weeks and then Ben Howard and then Laura Marling! So there's a mix of stuff, I don't tend to stick to one genre.
I'm the same regarding mixing genres. My main playlist that i listen to is made up of "indie" so to speak with Arctic Monkeys, The 1975, Jake Bugg, Oasis, Stereophonics, Stone Roses, Noel Gallaghers High Flying Birds, Ed Sheeran, Bombay Bicycle Club, Bastille, The Libertines, Razorlight, Kings Of Leon etc
Yeah I think that's the best thing to do! I'll listen to jay z and that kind of thing as well. I play in a band and we're always messing about with different styles! It's good to listen to everything and pluck something you like from each genre.
I don't stick to one genre, i just prefer dance music as a whole, drum and bass, dubstep, house, trance etc but on the other had i'm massive Coldplay fan, i love Kings of Leon, Imagine Dragons, loads of 80's electronic and even going as far a classical, pretty varied really. Only thing I can't deal with is modern day RnB, 90's/early 2000's is fine.
Interpol , Savages ,I LIke Trains , Godspeed you black emperor , Slaves , Gogo Penguin , Jon Hopkins(if you like techno, listen to Collider), War on Drugs, Elton John, Slipknot. Eclectic would be an understatement.
