Can windscreens be polished to remove small grit scratches and very light stone chips the glass appear like new?
Planet polish did something, never going to get actual scratches out though only 'marks' from say wiper blades over time
Carpro Ceriglass is the polish to use, they do a kit for hand usage or you can get a raylon pad for machine, which is going to be the best way to do it.
Glass polishing is a slow hard process, glass is harder than steal. You need to be careful or heat build up as it can cause the glass to crack you also need to be careful that you don't distort the glass. You can polish with care the whole screen and get rid of wiper marks but nothing else. Don't even bother by hand as you will get no were, a number of kits have drill attachments and can be quite good, just take your time and watch for heat build up.
I have but a windscreen is like £100 excess and the rear screen may be a hard one to prove. Although the arched scratches from the wiper may be even harder to remove
As above you will need something with some bit as glass is very hard, it will heat up quickly but keep the pad moving and you will be ok, you don't want it to feel any hotter that the bottom of a cup with a fresh brew in it.
Never heard of a rayon pad before but searched and see they're available everywhere so I'll give that a shot.
