Hi folks. I'm picking this car up Monday. Black 5 door with forge inter cooler, forge blue hose set, bailey dump valve and eibach springs. It's currently in Scotland, but of course could have come from anywhere in the 3 owners before. was wondering if anyone knew about it, any history etc? Cheers.
Not sure on the history etc but the eibach springs may be standard, if its cup packed they will be OEM
I'll try and get some pics up in a bit. It seems this guy has had it since 2011 and looked after it but not added to it, so the mods are from a previous owner and would be good to know everything that's been done. Any ideas how to tell if it's had a remap (stickers ktec or whover put anywhere)?
Easiest way to tell if its had a remap is to monitor the boost levels IIRC around 0.8 bar standard 1.1 bar stage 1 (i think). If you don't have a scanguage the cheapest option is to buy a bluetooth obd interface and the torque app for an android phone
This is the car. Has drilled discs all round. That, the wheels, and mirror colour from some surfing seem to indicate the cup option was ticked??
Easiest way to tell if it has the cup pack is turn off the esp if it stays off above 30mph it's almost definately a cup,
So all sorted and car is at home. Even had an initial quick hoover/wash/clean. This weekend I'll attend to those initial annoying bits. Oh - quick Question - drivers door bin lid is broken. Are 3 & 5 door bins the same, and also pre and post face lift? Or - can I 'take' the leather off mine and put it onto a cloth bin lid (plenty of those on ebay)? Anyhow the spec I have figured out with you help: 56 plate Megane 225 Cup pack (cruise control stays off over 30mph - yay!!), so has the wheels, Eibachs, Brembos and discs etc (thicker subframe?) Xenons (standard?) Carminat sat nav system 6 disc dash changer On top of this it has: Forge intercooler Forge dump vale forge hose kit Loving the car. A nice toy, but also easy to drive and even get the kids in when needed (hence choosing the 5 door). Some pics: Oh - there is an engine cover - just off for this pick.
