I can't remember what the outside temp has to be above before the Aircon works...

    Can anyone remember?

Just read 6-8 degrees but not sure if that was specific to the Megane?

Aircon has a specific temp to work?

Yeah, If it's too cold outside it won't engage, but I can't remember at what temp that is.

To be fair, why would you want cold air blowing at you when its less than 10 degrees outside!

  6. Dehumidfy the window.

    Touche.

  8. Air con works as soon as the button is pressed, well mine does anyway. Used it to demist the windows a few times over the winter.

I believe some of the older R12 systems wouldn't work with an ambient temp below 4 degrees but it's not an issue with R134a/1234yf

Nice so it's probably fucking empty again as usual.

  11. 6 degrees for it to work if I recall ! Sounds like another o ring problem!

Oh well it was only 5.

    You never know lol

  13. Bottom connection to the aircon rad had gone on both my Meganes.

  14. Is It a common fault ?.

  15. Looks like it is from what I've read.

Had mine regassed today after swapping the rad and its lovely and cold now.Had it vacuum and pressure tested first. Bring on the sun.

Ha mines pressure tested fine 3 times now - still doesn't stop it giving up after a few months!

  17. If it does its only £16 to fill it back up so I dont care.

Might be ok for you but that would never do for me.

  19. Fix it then.

    I promise.

  21. I wonder if it will be the bottom rad connection?

Both of mine we're very corroded.

    Fancy a fiver on it?

Nope, new rad and seals less than 12 months ago.

I'm 95% sure it's the dryer seals or the dryer itself.

Only £50 ish new and I've got the seals from the seal kit already.

  23. Sounds like you have it covered.
    Good luck.

  24. Air on does not engage below certain temp on megane 2! This is confirmed in the manual. This is both engine temp and ambient temp! The manual doesn't state a temperature as such but states if the temp is too low, it won't engage at all!
