250 Eibach Pro Lowering springs

  1. Any 250/265 Cup owners have these fitted to thier cars?

If so how do they ride compared to standard springs and if possible could you post a picture of the car please?

Any info anyone can give on these would be great.

  3. I would go down the H&R root. Larkspeed are doing them for £150 so they are cheaper as well.

I have a 265 now but my clio 200 had H&R lowering springs and they worked great alongside the cup dampers.

Im sure both are decent but I do rate H&R having experienced them first hand.

    Cheers

  4. Thanks for that. I have considered the H&R also, but im worried that the 35mm drop would be to much.

  5. I have just lowered my 225 on the H&R springs and think there fantastic. It seems to ride smoother than the standards and just feel so much more composed. Cant rate them enough and the drop it has given it is just right, not 2 low just a good hight. I no you obviously have a mk3 but am sure they will give the same result.

  6. Not sure about the mk3 but I'd check what the spring rates are as on the mk2 the aftermarket eibachs are a fair bit softer than the standard springs on the cup packed models even though they drop it more!
I wouldn't be putting worse springs on!
Like I said I'm not sure what the spring rates are on the mk3 but it's definitely something I'd look into before buying!

  7. I have h&r blue, smoother and holds better than stock springs

  8. We do the H&R for £156 delivered so slightly cheaper than Larkspeed all in.

  9. That's a good deal. Does anyone own a mk3 that can post a picture of it with either h&r or eibach springs??

Much stiffer, Not as nice to drive on rough UK roads as the wheels want to brake traction a lot easier, Follows the camber and surface changes a lot more as well.

Smooth roads they are good though, Less body roll and handling seems to be the same if not similar. Whether or not they actually improve the handling is a different matter. Looks 100x better though

Well i came from a cup packed 182 to the cup packed megane and was impressed by how comfortable the cup'd Megane was in comparison. I really enjoyed how forgiving the cup springs were, however, I found there was a lot more body roll than I was expecting (and used to), I found this really unnerving, so I decided to try the H&R springs.

The H&R springs are a lot firmer, a lot! Body roll is reduced greatly but comfort is also greatly reduced when encountering speed bumps, pot holes etc... I would say the firmness is now similar to that of my old 182. Most of the roads I drive are in fairly good condition and I don't come across many speed bumps, so I find the comfort fine for my needs/usage.

I couldn't say the handling is better or worse, but i prefer the feel with the H&Rs when pressing on.

One thing I suffer from at times is severe tram-lining but it only happens in certain situations. However, i cannot say if this has got worse changed since having the H&Rs as I dont really remember before and i think it's far more dictated by the conditions of the road, power being applied etc...

  13. last weekend i fitted eibachs on my 250 (non cup). also replaced the bottom ball joint as well (no more knocking).
the handeling is much better then stock, feels much sharper when pushing the car. a little bit stiffer then the oem setup, just perfect!
i think the eibach looks beter then the h&r, because the rear i think is to low on the h&r.

  14. With reference to the car with the H&R`s fitted (OLI), he did say he had a bootful of luggage.
