Little blast out with my r26 and Steve1 in his R26r

So headed out for a blast last night around Castle Donington round some roads in familiar with just to blow off some steam and test out the new BC setup.

Pulled into the services at Donington and who should I bump into.... Steve1 and his immaculate r26r.

So we stood around for best part of an hour chatting about various stuff and his new ast setup up and my BC setup and opinions on Geo for road and track.

After a while Steve offered to take me for a blast even though I was in me scruffs from work (luckily I'd kept the missus happy with Krispy Kreme donuts in the car)

Anyway what a car, even on roads Steve wasn't familiar with it was clear to see the gains from lighter car and pilot cup tyres compared to ps3's which I must I'm happy with.

You can tell Steve does a lot of track time as he was very confident all considering came to a roundabout and I did hang on a little haha, think we've both made new local Meg buddy's haha

 

Yeah was good mate, was good to meet a fellow enthusiast and even better to go for a spin in the R with that titanium exhaust

I attend work for 14 shifts a month

After that you'll find me in the gym or fixing motors for folk or going for blasts out haha

Just been out for another thrash haha, took me mates 225'd 197 out lol

 

I've got a lot of love for those T5 engines (being an ex volvo apprentice), so punchy and a wave of torque!

I've only ever driven the St and it felt a very solid and weighted car. The engine sounded bang on though used little pops from standard exhaust.

I'm gonna give the megane a bath today, fit the new front brakes and then they'll need "bedding" in haha

 

Well the discs have been changed and Steve1's been over for a little tinker on his R and a drive out in my r26 to compare the bc's to his asts
