Canards for 250/265 front end

Discussion in 'Megane Discussion' started by JockySteer, Jan 27, 2015.

  1. Has anyone ever bought/fitted canards to their meg before? I am not sure how it'd look and having seen them look sensational on some cars (i.e. C63 black), I'm interested to see what they'd look like on the meg. I also don't know where to buy them from.

  2. Would like to see them
you had a look on the oz site they seem to be a lot braver than us brits with their cars

some nice cars on there with bigger spoilers and what not

  3. I'm not sure they would look right. Can't explain why though ha.

  4. Really keen on them, but god knows where to get them from

They come from Japan, I know the company that supplies them but i can't for the love of me remember the name at the moment. Begins with a "C" I'm sure LOL!

  6. Sorry but imo that looks shit. The other style of ones you get would look better.

  7. This the ones you mean Jamie, they don't look too hot either actually d1314660ac499ab44d2be344e4a7193a.jpg 2f61d99b21fdca34ae0227c6124c6764.jpg 2c2803173602fcda3546d166178732d2.jpg 7ca6cfa24c85b30a16599dad7f59c73b.jpg

  8. These ones look awful. Look like a bit of air fix stuck to the bumper.

  9. not a fan of those. Almost look like I've made them myself

  10. I don't think it has the right shape of bumper to pull them off. Better with a set of winglets.

  11. lol what the heck...

    looks daft

Proof that Megane's are getting cheap to buy for the riff raff.

Edit: Mike nah not them, They are from a Japanese company

Wild guess here, Did he have a Corsa or something equally as horrid before?

  18. Dont mind the flyeye but them stupid paul walker stickers get on my nerves ,think every focus st in the work car park has one and theres about 10 of them

Be warned, their stuff isn't cheap then remember you have shipping and possibly import costs on top. Im quite tempted by their rear spoiler eventually

  24. no... just no...

  25. Ill take the spoiler and splitter

  26. Horrid, really horrid

  27. Ditto. Look so mean

  28. Spoiler looks awesome. Endless pads are supposed to be really good. My cousin has them in his Evo and swears by them. Haven't been able to find any in the uk.

Endless pads are pretty easy to get hold of in the UK, Remember the Megane shares pads with Evo's/Impreza's and Alfas.

  30. I've struggled to find any. Will keep looking. If you know of any sites could you let me know?

C1-R motorsport supply Endless, A few friends have bought them from Chris

  32. Cheers. Think they have done quite a bit of work in my cousins Evo.

  33. least everyone knows how to de value your car in 8 easy holes

  34. What are they for?

  35. On cars that actually need them, I'm guessing it's to do with downforce. On Meg's... pointless

    Pointless?
Hardly, Mine will be getting a proper splitter/flat floor and probably canards while it is getting caged at the end of the year but then it is being built as a track car, Not something that has random bits of shite stuck on for looks.

Even on more standard ish cars losing some lift is only a good thing, The Mk3 does get a bit light are proper speeds so anything that helps combat that is a big plus.

  37. flat floor is a bit ott for a track car. And unless your spending a huge amount of money its not a cheap thing to do.

Its not when you have someone with the knowledge and experience to help with though.

One of my friends has a full aero package on his Mk2 golf and it is very, very effective and hasn't cost much to make at all

  39. I see. Can't say a lack of downforce has bothered me yet...
