Has anyone or does anyone know how to modify the drls so they stay on when the lights are on? I've seen a few megs with this done and looks pretty good and I wouldn't mind doing it to mine! So any help or links on how to do it would be great? Cheers
seen them before were they easy to fit? looked at his guide but looks a lot of hassle for something so small? also where about in East Yorks are you? and what do you drive?
Good luck getting hold of one of Ahmed's plug and play kits now. Theres a guide on the French RS forums for doing this but it isn't a plug and play kit.
I'm over near Goole if you wanted a kit fitting I could do it for you ! At the moment a 250 but it's up for sale and I have a 275 trophy on order!
Just wondered I'm over Hull/York way, I'm alright for the fitting thanks got a few things i want to do before this.
I got one of the kits from Ahmed around end of September 2014, only took around an hour or so to fit. Looks so much better i think, well worth getting.
Tom did you contact him through his link shown earlier in the thread? Trying to convince my brother to get his trophy done.
Yep just of the same webpage, http://megane-iii.blogspot.co.uk/p/drl.html He got back to me pretty much the next day, and the kit arrived around a week later.
Right I've been trying to get in touch with Ahmed for lsat few days without response! So there must be someone else that does this or another way of keeping the drl on?
Since you didn't even bother to look on the French MRS forum, Here you go: http://www.meganers.fr/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=27864 Easy enough if you are not a simpleton.
Woah! That's way too much work and lots of wire modifications. Not to mention you still have to buy some kind of brightness adjusting device which is not really made for the megane. I think I would prefer the plug & play option. Just my preference
How was the install and is there any support available? I had a look at the guide. The under-tray removal method seems much easier than bumper removal and a one man job. Which method did you use? Just wondering if I was to run into problems what kind of support would be available.
Ahmed is still making the kits. I emailed him and he replied almost immediately. Here is what he said....
Removing the bumper is a 5 minute job, Much easier than rolling about trying to fit it with the under tray removed.
To fit the kit was fairly straightforward, once you get your head around the guide and have the kit in person its much easier. I used the under-tray method, mostly because i hadn't had the car for long and didn't want to be messing around taking the bumper of it yet. If i was to do it again now though, i probably would just take the bumper off. Theres not really much problems to run into, but I'm sure if you did, either Ahmed or one of us on here could help you out! Well worth doing in my opinion though!
