  1. Well my new (to me) R26.R turned up on Friday morning, and ive strugglerd to stay out of it all weekend:smile:

She's in Lunar Grey with Black Wheels and no decals. Ti exhaust and has been extensively and properly upgraded by the 1st and previous owner. Its running KV Clubsport suspension, 330mm front brakes, forged engine with ITG Carbon airbox, huge intercooler, race battery, new wiring loom with the engine, AIM digital race dash with data logging the list goes on.

Having spent time getting to know it this weekend, it is a proper smile inducer.......the flames and pops from the exhaust on changes is childish but hilarious. The noise is something else and performance is very impressive. Once ive cleaned it I'll get some pictures up.

It will be on track as soon as I have the time, which Im looking forward to. My wife thinks its horrible but you cant please everyone:smiley:

was looking at this 2 weeks ago and fall in love with it went to look on trader other day and its gone

Looks awesome love lunar grey and that digidash

  7. Looks lovely, any more info on the suspension ?

Your sure its not V3's as I've been speaking with KW UK (last month, ordered parts to upgrade my V3's) and they told me they don't do Clubsports for the MK2

If they are Ill be straight back on the phone as I want adjustable top mounts too

That looks lovely. You lucky boy!

  9. Hi,

I am only going off the paperwork that I have with the car which details it as Clubsport rather than V3's. I will be getting the wheels off and going through it all later this week so will have a proper look and let you know.

  10. That'd be great
It's a lovely looking car, the colour is just brilliant.

  11. I was intrigued by the dash on this saw it on eBay. Does it work over canbus or odb?

  12. Thanks for the comment, I also love the colour, especially with the Black Wheels. Picture attached of it washed this morning and looking a bit shiny, think it will look even better when I can spend some time cleaning it properly.

  13. The system works over the CANbus, they are very impressive units and can provide a huge amount of data.

  14. Lovely colour.

  15. i can understand boost, water, oil all those being easy. But the likes of the Rev, Speed, Fuel must be a little harder as you can't piggy back off the canbus system

  16. Ive got rev's as I've got a shift light but i used a separate piece of hardware for that.

Epic R26.R, Probably the best spec'd on in the UK.

Bit jealous of you, I was looking at it when it was for sale as it was a good price for the spec

  18. Lovely car, great spec.

Love this pic, I think it looks great with the black wheels and without the decals, very stealth

  19. get yourself booked onto Spa 15th April, there are a few of us going : )

  20. Thats pretty clever then as i haven't seen one that works with all the sensors as standard over canbus without interference

  21. Thanks mate, I'm very chuffed with it. Not everyone's cup of Tea as its been so comprehensively altered and modified, however it has been thought through and done well. I have to admit that I don't have anything to compare it against as Iv'e never driven a standard R26.R. the golden rule of never buy the first car you look at has been comprehensively broken which is not my normal approach. However it was so much fun on the road that I decided to give it a go. The reviews and reports I read when it came out have always made it a must try car. I have a Clio 182 Trophy which has always been a firm favourite so I knew what RenaultSport could do when they were on form, and the 182 Trophy's big brother is quite a thing.

Hope to get to a Megane orientated thing soon and have a ride in a standard car to understand the difference, unfortunately the Cadwell Park MeganeSport event in March I have been told about on here isn't possible as I am away on business, but its only a matter of time hopefully.

  22. Cheers mate, quite surprised I haven't been chastised for not liking the decals, but I just love the colour and stealthy look

  23. Don't quote me on it mate, as I am not any form of expert on electronics so only going on the info from the manual and what I have been told in the past. Its very early days for me with the car, but the manual the AIM system came with (100 pages long and I get bored easily so not been through it at all thoroughly) details CanBus or serial RS232. I have a nagging memory of CanBus being the main connection mentioned during one of many conversations, but I will be speaking the the guys that did the work later this week, so will let you know once they have clarified it.

I can send you the link to the pdf. manual if you want.

  24. Ive seen the manual. I wouldn't be surprised if your running a different ECU

  25. I'm like you mate, I had a white R26 and removed the decals, always thought it looked better naked
