225 Diagnostics Question

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by l££, Jan 25, 2015.

  1. Been having issues with my Front Fogs [as mentioned in another post] and have tried the main things to remedy it. Changed the fuse, tried different bulbs, removed battery, and nothing has worked.

I'm wondering if plugging in a diagnostics software would pin point an issue? I'm sure it would say there is a fault with them, but wondering if it would/could be more specific so i can fix it? I've not much experience using this equipment, and unless you know a friend with one, it's usually a costly job! Trying to find out if it's worth a try or am i wasting my time? Cheers

Just fit a pair of fog light blanks, easiest option

  3. Haven't seen the other post but I presume they're not working? Possibly the stalk that's not working?

  4. Have you checked the plug to the fog lights, the one you unplug when removing the front bumper?

  5. Has james as said, have you checked there connected via the main plug, which should be passager side by the fog light somewhere. Would also check if theres voltage at the plug.

  6. The switched on the stalk lights up the dash light to say they are on, so at the moment assuming thats ok. Might have to come back to that as a last resort...

  7. I can't think why that plug would have come undone, but know haven't looked at that. My next move will be remove wheel, arch liner, then check for this plug and run a voltage test.

Can't believe how complicated this has become.....
