I've done about 8k miles on them and took it for a service the other week, told me they were only 10% worn >.<
They come with the antisqueel shims in the box yes. And the CL pads are still marginally smaller so still click but that's because they're copper backed instead of steel so they expand a little more with heat.
CL's were initially great but eventually separated from their back plates on all 4 pads! never again. Performance Friction or Rs29's please.
In their defence there's always going to be someone that has had this issue with pads, EBC and ferodo have both had this problem also. I've yet to see anyone have this with the pad in the mk3/evos/subaru so maybe they've addressed the issue.
Mine were quite recent. I have never ever had a problem with Pagid,PF or Ferodo. EBC are cheese. Avoid.
I had the backing come off a set of ds2500. I'm using ebc yellow on the rear (1st time I've had them) but never read anything bad about them, better than oem anyway.
Tried sorting out my non-working front fogs. They both stopped working at same time when I switched engine off and got out with them switched on. Never came back on when I started up. So I assumed it was the fuse, which I got to under the bonnet, but it was fine (changed it anyway). Still no joy :\ Changed 1 of the fogs for a different bulb, which was working last time I used it so believe it to be fine. Still nothing :\ Removed battery & reinstalled, hoping that might 'reset' something, but still no luck! I literary don't know what else to try, anyone got an idea? The dash light comes on as normal when I switch the stalk on, so doubt it's a fault with that..... Confused.....
I travel too & from work in the kind of light which I don't think warrants headlights, but like the fog lights on for my visibility to others.
Gave the 250 a quick clean ready for the url club stickers on rear windows. Just put the stickers and I think they look pretty cool on the car? What do you think?
De megane it today. Just need to find something to remove the last small bits of glue and work out how to stop a door leak lol.
Update us on the tyres after you've worn & 'tested' them Had Nankangs on my last car and was impressed for the price.
managed to break the clips on the shitty breather pipethat goes by throttle body, and broken clip on the gearbox cable so lost 5th 6th and reverse, and all in one fucking day!:mad: and without even opening the bonnet!!!
Mrs just ordered an R26r Spoiler for my birthday (With money put aside for respray) Hopefully will get more goodies from her!
My coilovers arrived back today, New valving and stiffer springs. Still in two minds whether to fit them or return them and get some Nitron R3's instead, Mainly due to them being a UK company and a lot easier to get them serviced etc.
Gave my car a quick clean, ready for the spoiler that should come tomorrow. Also sealed a rear light due to it always having condensation/water inside! Damn thing!
