Looked at a Megan R26 today was very nice but had the odd stone chip here and there but pretty tidy. New discs all round new back tyres too. Fronts are near the 3mm limit. 46,500 miles at £7,495. Reg AP07UPA. Any info would be great.
Looks decent although its about 3-500 overpriced imo. Saying that I paid 7200 for my black 08 plate r26 with the same mileage just over a year ago.
Don't let owners put you off, people buys these cars without realising the running/service costs and part with them due to not being able to afford them.
Can't be as bad as a B5 RS4 lol ? That's why I'm after a R26 as a daily everything is much much cheaper I get about 12 to 15mpg in town and 22mpg on the motorway at a steady 70mph in the RS4. It works out about £1000 per 10,000 miles on averge with the RS4 regarding service and maintenance.
Yeah its waaay less than that to run, 70mph easily gets you 32mpg, in and about town its more like 25mpg....there's plenty of independant RenaultSport specialists that offer very competitive prices, belts for between 400-500, I had a full service for £160. Ads can also get you OEM parts from Renault for cheapher than anywhere else online which helps a lot, I got new dicscs and pads all round (went for r.26.r discs) for 470 delivered, I'm pretty sure discs for the RS4 may be £2k+?

I'd say offer £7000 but maybe get it checked over by a professional first even if it costs you £60 or so if you're set on it? It looks like a lovely car but there are lots of little things that most people miss (including myself) when buying these! I paid £6500 for my 57 plate with 48k on it and then threw £1800 at it to get it spot on!
Mine is an 08 plate with 54k on the clock. I'm selling it, looking for £6700. Car is like new and has been pampered in the 3 years I've owned her. Has FSH and the belts have been done. 11 months MOT. Car is Liquid Yellow with Black gloss pack, wheels and mirror caps. All the discs and pads have been replaced around 12k miles ago front and back. Calipers repainted professionally last year with new Hankook tyres at every corner last year too. Injectors cleaned 11 months ago. Car has a genuine R26r bonnet, short shifter and a stage 1 remap in the mods department. The interior plastics are like new with very few marks or scratches. Now the bad bits.... A few stone chips on the front bumper, no tax and only one card. If you need anymore info just PM me.
Forgot to mention that all the wheels are unmarked and there are no dents on the bodywork. Battery was replaced last month too.
