    0.8

  3. Thanks that is what i thought....

I bought a rstuner box from Henk. Put the map on and there were no real gains on the the performance logger before to after the map.got back to him was running 0.7 bar he said. "You should be running 1 bar on standard get car checked you got a major leak or broken turbo".

    What you guys think.

  4. Book it in with RS tuning

0.7 bar on standard is right I think he means you should be running 1 bar with the map

  6. I think i do need to book it in at rs tunning.

Thats what i thought but no just looked at the email again when you car us running 1 bar on standard map let ne know. Shocking.

  7. Sorry to hear that Kev, have Pm'd you mate ....

  8. This might sound daft fella , but are you sure the map applied ? It sounds like it hasnt. .

  9. Yeah loaded the map. Slight increase in torque no change to power ????

  10. I'd unplug the pipe to the actuator and give it a very quick blast to see if the boost spikes. Keep an eye on it, it will go high very quick.

Once is enough to see if you have a problem.

  11. From the figures you gave me kev its still seems as standard,
i had had the weight as 1433 kg. results were : power 171.08kW(drag co-efficient added) =229.42205896Bhp torque 257.55Nm.

Maybe a good idea to put the standard map back on and then check the boost after you have done what james157 advises on the actuator with your tuner software but if still low then has the boost been messed about with on your actuator ?? previous owners do have a tendancy to muck about . good luck mate

  12. Saying that mind your torque seems abit low in Nm if this is correct kev?? I thought about 310Nm (229 lb/ft) roughly for standard, correct me if I am wrong...

  13. that looks around correct.

Something isnt healthy here. Possibly weak actuator.

  14. Thats what I was thinking too or sticking wastegate.

  15. Thanks boys. Am i best taking it to a garage for them to have a look. I will give the actuator bit a go. Excuse my ignorance what am i doing to it and where is it. Is it easy.

  16. If you've got the time and money I'd just get booked in, less hastle and it will be done right

  17. Yeah your right will get it in on the weekend. Will update as and when. Just want to get this right the actuator is where you can place the blanking plate for dump valve ?????

  18. If you are not sure what you are doing buddy just take it to a garage. You will be running unlimited boost without the pipe connected.

  19. Its near there yes

The blanking plate is the recirc valve

Actuator is also silver , on an angle and also has a pipe coming off it.

    Looks a bit like

  20. The small Black hose. Pull it off either end and try it.

You dont need to go mad you will very quickly pass 0.7 bar.

Remember that the only boost limiter you will have is your right foot.

  21. Forgot to add you will smile at how fast it feels, even if it is only for a second.

  22. Thanks very much for taking your time to explain, thats a great help. Will give it a go tomorrow night as im away with work. Will let you know. Doing this test what does it prove ?

  23. Bit off topic, but is that a pic of your engine bay james?
If so how do find the valeo coils? as i was under the impression they were shite - didnt last and caused misfires?

  24. Never missed a beat in almost 2 years of me owning it. I know the previous owner never had a problem with them either because he is my mate.

I was worried at first when I joined the other site and people said they was crap but I would definitely buy them again.

  25. If it boosts high you have a fault with either the actuator, boost solenoid or the ecu map.

If it doesn't you have a problem with the turbo.

Could also be a boost leak but you should be able to hear that.

  26. Have you got a blow off valve fitted?

  27. Ok thanks. Yes i do have blow off valve fitted.

  28. Check that too as these can stick open causing a massive boost leak.

shouldn't take long to narrow it down.

  29. Ok thanks again mate.

  30. Ok boys this is what i got. Today put standard map back on and done a boist pressure test : e58d38b5e0ca6a28c1b112b6ba73a55d.jpg

Then put the map back on and done another boost pressure test : a6e6756da2d81d688b794af3c65b77cd.jpg

Then i done power runs for a standard then remap configurations : 024f74e8ebe0ecce67a596e81abfe756.jpg

    Blue standard car map.

Then i done a actuator pipe removal drive boost pressure : e9bb1fed4d4547ff2a2db556c92d203b.jpg

Aint got a clue whats going on if im honest ????

  31. from what I can see kev and it seems real odd, with the standard map using that software it is recording 1.4 bar and then with the map it is showing 1.0bar, to be honest that should be the other way around, standard 0-8to1.0 and more with a map, depends what map what extra boost, so for a start that is ringing alarm bells the fact its the opposite way round with those recorded figures, your act pipe removal is showing 1.9bar so that makes sense.

  32. kev you back home over the wkend ??? cos I will connect by vpd boost gauge and also my obd2 Bluetooth dongle to your port and we can see whats going on mate.

  33. No mate ain't back for a while. Thanks tho.

  34. My info page looks like this, thought something would change with the new map but all same figures ??? cc3b62167db9f930bdee7eeef0713f36.jpg

  35. Its hard to base anything on with your new software cos 1.is it working properly? 2. you may not be performing the runs properly to get accurate data, I am sure you are and have read the manual fully lol(phew got out of that one), 3. the cars not well.
kev you can get a cheap obd2 btooth dongle real cheap and the torque app to get a pretty accurate reading of the boost you are getting and that will put a stop to 1. and 3. soz I cant be no know more help.....

  36. Also the actuator reading was the max number not the value number......

  37. No mate thanks for all the help,

what dongle have you got and where from.

  38. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00BMHAILG/?tag=rsmeg-21

Nice n cheap, just syncs well with the Torque app to give live date and also the min/max when on a run, its nothing fancy just helpful data, see if you can get the torque app on phone 1st kev, whats £6 for a dongle lol

  39. Nice one mate. Might get to a garage tomorrow also to get a boost pressure check.
