Front spacers

Discussion in 'Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres section' started by Cb225, Jan 11, 2015.

  1. Evening all. I have just put some 20mm hub-centric spacers on the rear of my 225, what a difference looks so much better and purposeful. But now I'm wondering if i should put something on the front.

Have any of you guys had the same and if so what have you used? Not sure what the biggest size is you can get away with without been hub-centric as cant seem to find anything less than 20mm hub centric ones.

Any help would be great and even better if you have a pic.

    Cheers craig

  2. C'mon you know you must add a picture?

Do you have a link to them, I want some spacers too.

Put one on the front to see if its ok.

  3. I was toying with the idea of spacers. Would love to see a pic

  4. Im not a member on there, anyone able to put the pics on here?

  5. All standard. Only added the spacer's. You could put 25mm on the rear.

Looks wrong to me personally - just looks like badly fitting wheels!

    20mm is too much

  22. meant to put photos up ages ago and forgot. sorry

went for 20 mm all round with stud conversion, just for looks when i have the red wheels on, and then they will come off when i put track wheels on, (always planned to take them off for track but thought would try with track wheels on just to see what they looked like and it makes the wheels stick out about an inch from the arches :tongueout:)

after, can't really see from pic, but the tyre sits just behind the lip of the arch

  23. Looks good. I think 20mm is just right.

Was going to go for stud conversion but I dont track mine so didn't bother.

Agree with this it looks bad on the megane it reminds me of a chav corsa with cheap TSW wheels.

  25. Everyone has their own opinion even if it is wrong.

Everyone can modify their car differently even if it's for the worse

  27. You got that right, their car so their opinion is the only one that counts.

  28. I have 5mm on the front nothing on the rear..

  30. Everyone is entitled to there opinion dave but do you have to be so insulting and rude with it m8?, as I said james I love the stance it gives the car from the rear, great mod mate and I will defo do....

  32. Them corsas look sick.

  33. Wow dave has a chav fetish lol bet they are from his special collection

  34. i think it looks ok but probably too much on the front probably needed 15mm on front. The back looks fine though.

I think in general the height has to be right to begin with otherwise spacers look wrong.

The rears do not need spacing on Meganes and as above standard height cars look even worse.

I don't think Renault signed off and stood back and went shit lads that looks wank, needs spacers...

  36. I don't care what anyone thinks.

    I like them.

I do wonder what Renault was thinking when they designed it with such a fat arse. Some like it some don't.

  37. Me too james, ignore em , looks fantastic and sits way better , nicer to the eye, and now the fat arse makes sense, great job 10 out of 10

  38. I will be sorting the suspension out in a couple of months. Most likely coilovers but wont be dropping it much only about 10-15mm. Don't want to deviate too far from Renaults incredible design and make it look shit by lowering it 30mm.
