  1. Went to do my quick shift today, I've had a problem which when warm would have trouble springing back to neutral from gear, anyways took everything off and then the metal rod you have to take out I could not get out to remove the selector, any help as it was very annoying taking everything off just to put it back together with no luck any help would be much appreciated thanks

  2. As you look at the linkage from the front of the car, at the 3 o clock position there is a small nut you have to undo for the rod to come out. It's quite tight in there, you can also get to it from under the car behind the right front wheel as your stood looking into the engine bay. I believe its a 13 mm spanner you will need.

  3. The stiffness will be the nylon bush just need sanding out slightly , have you took the bolt out down the side of the selector, 14mm

  4. ha ha 13 or 14mm couldn't quite remember. 14 it is.

  5. Hi, sorry so is it not the rod I have to get out for the selector to come off? Is it just the nut?

  6. Yes just undo the nut and the rod will come out. All the nut does is hold the rod in place. Remove the nut remove the rod.

  7. It's just a short bolt, remove it and give the whole thing a wiggle and it will pop out, when re-fitting put it all back together in the opposite sequence as you took it apart , it's an easy job to do when you have found that bolt

  8. Ok will give another go on the weekend everything off when I can see the selector it's not the metal rod I need to take outit's a 14mm, was such a pain doing all that on the weekend for no joy
