    Welcome

Regarding tyre wear, that's rather subjective.. how you drive, conditions, distances etc. or even poor alignment!

  3. I put down that I drive 8000 mile a year. I don't drive the car hard as such, more 'spirited' but not too often as the roads are rubbish where I am

  4. Welcome

  5. to be honest anything that packs more than 200BHP on 18 or 19 wheels isn't going to be a car that is 'Good' on tyres. I don't think there that bad, Focus ST is worse.

They destroy tyres if used hard, I have just put a 3rd set of fronts on since August with circa 10k miles.

  7. What rs are you looking at buying ?

  8. I'm thinking of the megane. Sorry I thought I mentioned that *rolls eyes*

  9. Welcome to the site

Are you thinking a mkII or mkIII? i.e. 250 or similar or a r26 or 225 etc? Tyres on my 250 were pretty shocking but like people have said above, depends on how you drive

  10. I'm think of the 250. I have read that the tyres need to be replaced around 9000 miles for some people

  11. Yeah thats probably about right, if not a little optimistic .. I think I was on a new set between 7000 - 8000 miles, maybe less. It's just part and parcel of the type of car it is though ... same a fuel usage will probably go up, insurance etc.

  12. oh dear. I wouldn't mind but it would be my daily driver so maybe I will have to rethink. I am getting 20000 miles out of my tyres at the moment so it's a lot more expense. Thank you
