Trophy discounts ?

  1. Hi I'm Mark and currently drive an Impreza. I am possibly looking to buy a 275 trophy and have managed to get around 18.5% off without any trouble. Just wondering what others have achieved ?

  2. Managed roughly the same percentage with my deal, which I was really happy with

  3. That's a good discount; think mine is around 12%.

  4. Yeah thought it wasn't a bad deal. Works out at about 5.5k off with my spec. Think I might be tempted : )

  5. Is that from Renault!? I never got anything near that off.

  6. Sounds a good deal mate. You buying outright or pcp?

    Welcome along too, btw.

  7. Thanks guys, the deal is with a renault main dealer. I wasn't really expecting to get that much off tbh

  8. Only thing ive been offered so far is £2000 contribution from renault jaybee ,still waiting to hear back from them also

  9. Screenshot (10).png
    Options included !!!!!!

    Tyre inflation kit
    Stiffer springs and dampers
Electric folding door mirrors - £150.0
    Michelin pilot sport 2 tyres

And its cheaper than my order !!!!!
19" Speedline Turini black alloy wheel - £1000.0

  10. I've been rumbled lol, thats where I got my quote from. Haven't confirmed or spoken to the dealer yet so could be a load of BS. If genuine it seems a really good deal

  11. What's the monthly cost on this offer? Seems very tempting!

  12. All depends on your deposit / trade in !!!!

  13. Thats whats so tempting about the 0% finance over 4 years

can put as little as you like and keep cash in bank which keeps wife happy or put a deposit in and have lower repayments

  14. Why did you show me this!!! :@

  15. Let's say 6k deposit

  16. Christ its not hard, divide the total amount by the number of months you wana pay it over!

  17. To get 0% DONT you have to put down a decent deposit like 40 %

  18. I think this is right. I didn't get 0% on the 265 and that was with a decent deposit.

  19. Sorry just checked emails its nil deposit from jaybee renault
Great if you can keep up repayments and keep cash in bank

  20. On a pcp about £340 a month!

  21. Mines roughly £430 a month on pcp with a tiny £500 and my old 2010 rs 250 as part exchange

  22. Only thing is they offered me 7k for my 250 so said ill sell privately

  23. F**k me that's a lot.

  24. Depends how much you earn and what out goings you have

Regardless Phil, Thats still a mental amount for what it is.

Thats serious performance/prestige car money monthly.

  26. £430 a month, that would wear thin with me after say, the 1st payment , fook that but just not worth it to me, I'd rather go without or buy a cheaper car. Good luck with it though mate, lovely car.

  27. Exactly, it is a nice car but I wouldn't be paying that either.

  28. It all boils down to the individual what they want really

yes your right i mean i read that people was getting golf r on pcp at around £280 a month or a m135i at not much more

  29. You could probably have an M3 for around that monthly payment.

But like you say it is personal choice.

  30. My wife says i could save £25k and buy some stickers to go on the 250

    but hey haha

  31. She's on to something there!

  32. I get where you guys are coming from, it is a lot of money a month but I am lucky enough to be in a financial situation to be able to afford it and still live well enough. I could of put a larger deposit down to lower the monthlies but with my partner and I currently saving all extra money for a new house, I would rather my surplus money was tucked away in a few ISA's \ saving accounts making me extra, than being put on a car that is going to depreciate as soon as I sit in it. The deal I have also includes the Renault 4 plus offer which includes 4 years worth of servicing (inc consumables), 4 year warranty and 4 year roadside assistance. Having had an engine seize up due to a huge oil leak on my old Pug GTi and having to replace it ... I couldn't put a price on having the assurance of those extras.

Bearing that in mind, there is no way I could have got an M3 with only a £500 deposit and part exchange and got anywhere close to £430 per month (although I would of loved one!! or preferably a Cayman ). I would of needed a much larger deposit ... but see above as to why that isn't possible.

As for the Golf R ... I did look into these (and others, I didn't just spank my money on the first car I saw, no matter how much I love it) and looked into the deals that people have mentioned. The ones people pointed me to weren't through main dealers, they tended to be hire purchase companies and for a much shorter period than I would like, needed a MUCH larger deposit down on them and the majority would not take part exchange. They were also for a standard R (which is still a great car, don't get me wrong) but as soon as you added some extras onto it .. the monthly cost soon went through the roof.

It's horses for courses I guess and everyone does what suits their lifestyles and circumstances

  33. If it suits you and you're good for it, then best of luck to you mate and enjoy the motor

  34. can't complain with that then, is it a big step up in price from the 250 to the 275? Tell me to mind my own business if you want lol

  35. I had my 250 on a similar PCP deal for 3 years with my old Seat Leon FR traded as part exchange and that was roughly £330 a month, so about £100 difference

  36. Not bad at all then

  37. Except you can't though can you?

A quick check on the first site I found (broker4cars.co.uk) I'm sure there is better out there, but this doesn't included any options:

Double what TJ is paying (£864.82/48 mths) with a 10% deposit and worse servicing and warranty.

  38. £864 a month, I'll hace 2 lol

  39. http://quotes.carwow.co.uk/offers/1666595
Best quote ive had from dealers so far on that website, bit confused though that i got a quote for a trophy r surely all 30 are sold?
Sorry its not a screenshot don't have a clue how to do it on this tablet

  40. I didn't say new though did I?
