  1. Hi.

ive been getting poor fuel consumption lately. the wife only does vicarage mileage per week so it doesn't get many nice runs.

it takes a long while for the mpg to give a figure when reset but on a fair steady run im getting 22 to 29 mpg. but takes a long while to get the high numbers.

are their any known faults that can cause it ?

its had new injectors, recent oil change and passed its mot ok back in march 14.

  2. That sounds about right I get about 24 to 30 mpg on my cup.

  3. I used to average 29 combined driving. I've seen 36 a few times when on a run.

  4. I have just done York and back 190 miles and I have averaged 28.4 Sat at 90 the whole journey.
But back and forwards to work 12 miles of stop start ish I average 21!

  5. I have averaged 30 bang on over the last 2,500 miles in my remapped R26, most of which is driving to work and back. My old 5dr 225 (standard) used to do 27.4 on the same journeys.

  6. Sounds like a good reason for a map!

  7. I average about 27 in my r26 but nearly all my driving is stop/start

  8. If you have a Megane RS! and your getting more than 30mpg theres something wrong. #DriveItLikeYouStoleIt

  9. i travel 3 miles to work and do a couple of motorway journeys i never reset the trip though and dont get more than 24 mpg, same in my last 3 door meg.

Are you going off the trip or tank to tank calculations?

  11. Mines off the trip ... real mpg is normally 3mpg less than the trip says for me

My trip always under-reads, it's never once been over.

Just goes to show it's not too reliable a method.
