Kinda. As I was going past Bolsover I thought I might book in with Mark to get the shaft done. Arrived at 1000 and the guys there didn't know about it and mark wasn't there. To the chaos who were onsite they dropped everything and fitted the driveshaft with minimal fuss. Bit disappointed with the organisation , but couldn't fault the we will get it done attitude.
Fitted brembo HC grooved discs and pf97 pads, Done 5 miles and the car is covered in crap Breaks are immense tho so it's a small price to pay
I used to run PF97's on my Clio.... stopping power is ridiculous, but the brake dust sticks to paint!
Been over to Mark Blacks and had some tpi polarised bolts + lockers fitted. Shame the car doesn't look like getting a wash anytime soon with this weather!
Fitted a 250 turbo to my Trophy. Added an oil catch can vented to atmosphere to keep the inlet clean.
Had a K-tec 2.75" cat back fitted, which I bought off OllieC. Love the rumbles and pops! Crazy loud below 4k rpm which surprised me. Was fitted by BeanieSport here in Milton Keynes and Chris was great, will definitely be going back.
Good to know it all went on ok Ed. It is quite loud, yes. Especially with the back seat down mod! ;-) Hope you enjoy it, catch up soon.
All washed and ready for brands hatch tomorrow. Realized my pads are shagged, quick trip to the ebc shop to pick up some yellowstuff pads at a bargain price and got them fitted. Nothing like leaving it to the last minute!
Car is looking very well Corey. Had the windows tinted the other day. back 3 a 'light smoke'. Ive gave her an overdue bath today, she was a filthy slut before. My work colleagues commented that I hadnt got the cleanest car in the car park anymore so something needed to be done! *Hands far too cold for T1etc. on the trims lol*
Looks good Chris, LY does look awesome when clean. Sometimes i wish mine was LY, Then i see one in person and I'm glad it isn't, Really doesn't suit the MK3 at all. DSC_1860 by Jamie_Atkinson, on Flickr I gave mine its last clean of 2014 seeing as I'm away for two weeks work tomorrow.
Finally fitted my .r spoiler. Out of interest what have people done with the middle fastener hole from the original spoiler? I have just used quite a flush fitting rubber grommet for the time being, you can't really see it under the spoiler, but 1. I know it's there 2. the holes is not in the centre!! Don't know which is the most annoying??
Had a few laps around Brands with Corey today, cheers mate  Car looks fantastic. Hope you didn't shit yourself with Tom Chilton
Was thinking of doing this at some point, looks like the original spoiler had previously been removed and refitted, but they had not been kind doing it, the were a few scratches where they had removed the adhesive and a small dent under it, gave it a machine polish and got most out but the are still a few left. Pissed me off a bit really, kind if took the shine of finally getting it fitted.
Had a wicked day out at Brands with Martin and Ed (liquid F1). Such a great laugh and learned loads from Ed for the afternoon sessions thanks buddy! Martin it was a pleasure mate great to see you. As for the hot lap JESUS that GTR is rapid! 600bhp launch out of the pit lane. Tom's a lovely bloke really sound. Can't wait for Spa now.
Awesome day out mate, the meganes are so quick (shame some don't like that fact ) the 265 is awesome so quick too. As for Tom bloke is just a legend tames that beast well.
Yeah very happy with it Steve, not driven it much this year and been lucky to track some nice rwd stuff but it's so easy to just get in an lap fast, a bloke in a caterham thought because it was a megane it wasn't good enough to pass him and proceeded to drive like a numpty (I had Paul in the car too Steve) he was very suprised that when we did pass we were back behind him within 4 laps wanting to pass again
Haha brilliant mate bet he's in the pub tonight telling all his mates that their was a megane there that must of had 600bhp to get past me lol
Fitted a new drivers shaft now I know why it's a 3 hour book time. Lol whole shock off to remove shaft that's ridiculous lol all fitted now and no clicky clicky from cv now
Fitted a KTR Induction kit to my 250 K-Tec racing induction kit by R.S. Photography, Thanks for 800k+ views, on Flickr Video https://www.flickr.com/photos/75729258@N07/15933920507/in/photostream/
Opened the fuse box to try and stop the 'electrical fault' sign on the dash. Pulled everything out and threw it all together and it seems to have worked. All I need is the thing to make it to BTM the weekend of the Autosport show ready for her 'holiday'.
Not today but yesterday - spent 20 minutes clearing the drive of snow, then set off and within 50yrds was completely stuck sideways blocking both lanes. Just had no grip whatsoever in any gear, had to go back for the snow shovel, dig out the road then reverse it right onto the grass verge and leave it. Other cars with skinny tyres were managing to get through, but the road was blocked soon after by two buses that crashed into parked cars. I forgot how completely shite these cars are with normal tyres, I remember when it snowed and I had my old 225 - I couldn't even get that off the drive, but got in the wife's Yaris and drove straight through the snow all the way to work and back.
I had them and if I'm honest I dont think their is much in it really the biggest difference is the tweeters I put the standard door speakers back in , sound better with the pioneer tweeters
Had my bc coilovers fitted by Mark black.....spot on service as usual although the drive up there was a bit hairy with all the snow.
I have a pioneer head unit and they handle the bass better than the standards. Haven't bothered changing the tweeters yet as I can't be fucked to take the dash out. My original speakers were crackling though so I've been meaning to change them for a while to stop the shit noise.
No need to take dash apart. Just pop cover off, unplug old tweeter, plug in new one, put cover back on and job jobbed.
i was under the impression I was having my Coilovers fitted by him today as well but never heard off him, never expected too though with the bad weather
