Quantum tuning

  1. Has any one heard of these? Midlands car care have put one of their maps on a 250 and its putting out 305bhp and 440nm of torque.

  2. It's not been rolling roaded though.

  3. ^^^^ hes right it aint been on the rollers yet. Thats just estimation.

  4. Is that not kind of like me saying i could run 100 m in under 10 seconds although i've not ran it yet?

  5. Im interested in this even though its generic not custom. A dealer is 2 minutes down the road. Just need to see the air/fuel ratio don't we? Or is there more problematic things involved with a remap?

  6. It is a custom, its not generic. Its not a live map you mean.

  7. But that map would run close to that.

  8. Its generic. It wont be custom unless you live map or have access to a rr to change parameters on the fly

  9. You can live map on a normal road you dont have to have access to a rolling road.

  10. I know you can, but this isnt that

  11. Was just making it clearer for people who didn't.

  12. I was told quantom tweek the map for the specfic car, when the original map gets sent. I know a lad with a clio 200 edc, and its running spot on, unlike some other well know brands that have been struggling to map them correctly.

  13. Just had a look on their website and they say Every vehicle is custom mapped.

  14. Surely they would have to put it on a rolling road to do this?

  15. Changing a parameter by 1 means something is custom

  16. Yeah I gather that. But without it going on a rolling road how would a tuner know it needs tweaking?

  17. Which would be perfect if its only 1 out.

  18. On a normal road.
